SecBSH coaching Kentucky?

Heard the interview on Rome. Coach of Kentucky (Brooks), said that there are four teams equal to or better than Southern Cal in the SEC. I think the members of the conference are buying into the hyperbole of it's fans.

Of the programs in the league who can be on par with SC? At this point and time LSU and maaaaybe Florida. Who else?

Over the five or so year run.......help me out here, I'm not seeing it.

Urban Meyer could take this team into the Coliseum and put up half a hundred.

I agree Steve...this year LSU for sure...and I would say with about 95% certainty UF, but with their young defense they would probably be fodder for USC as the game wore on but hey you never know...who else in the SEC this year? Bama? NO, Georgia? Please...whatever Rich fuck off...this shit is starting to get annoying...

just like everyone wants to talk about slow Big 10 blah, blah, blah...fact Big 10 2 SEC 1 in bowl games...if they were vastly superior they would have won all 3...UT didn't look that fast against PSU and Arkansas didn't look like world beaters against Sconsin...

even over the last few years...who from the SEC is on par with USC? LSU and potentially Auburn over the last 5-7 years as USC rose back to dominance...UF loses out with the Zook years and Urban's first two years...other than that I don't see it...but hey...we should just all bow down to the SEC and just never play another game...

It really just depends on how the season turns out. For instance, if the loser of the SEC Championship game goes on to lose to a Big Ten team in the Capital One Bowl, then said SEC team would technically be about the 8th or 9th best team in the conference. If said team won its bowl game, then that would jump them up to 2nd or 3rd in the conference and thus be on par with or better than USC.

Again, it really just depends on how SEC fans will spin it the season turns out.

Even better is SECDork's argument as to why those wins for the B10 were watered down.

"Yeah, well Arkansas and UT SUCKED last year! They were like, the 8th or 9th best teams in the conference!"

Here you're trying to make a case FOR your teams, and yet you're essentially saying they suck.

Way to think that one through.

How did the 8th best team in the conference get into the conference championship game?

Who said eighth?

Arkansas actually lost to LSU, but because LSU lost to Auburn & UF...Arkansas went to the title game. LSU went to the BCS as the SEC #2. That makes Arkansas at best THIRD in the SEC.

I won't get into semantics. You guys can figure it out. And again, are you saying that top to bottom the Big 10 is better than the SEC becuase of the 2-1 advantage?????

Let me know so we can argue that point.

No asshat I made the claim that everyone says the Big 10 is slow and blah, blah, blah...those were my words...did I say that the Big 10 was better...? NO...

It was brought out that the asshat Brooks said 4 teams in the SEC were equal to or better than USC...LSU yes, FLA I said about 95% confident they could play with USC...then my claim was more how the SEC teams are great but if they were so vastly superior like they want everyone to believe why didn't they sweep the Big 10 in the bowls...or better yet why don't they FUCKING win every bowl game...

that was my point...others may see things differently...but even you have to admit that Brooks was way out of line...if you don't then I refuse to even discuss as you will have the blinders on like brooks...this is what bothers everyone about SEC fan and what not...this fucking mentality that just because we are the SEC our teams are equal to or better than the best team in the nation...

USC would absolutely plunger rape South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee (already done by Kal) and then turn their sights to UF and LSU...I would hate to be Washington this weekend...I think the Poodle might take it out on them...

FUCK Brooks...I hope they fucking lose every game from here on out...asshat...

asshat...I was responding to goober......never mentioned you bro.....breathe......I also never said the Big 10 was slow. That's just plain stupid. OSU has speed just like UF. I think Meyer outcoached the vest. Talent being pretty equal and all.

Tongue in cheek reference toward Sudden Sam's persistent stance toward Arkansas last year. He went on about how great the SEC was (which I really wouldn't disagree with), but used some of the worst strategies to defend that take -- such as claiming how bad Arkansas was -- even though they represented the SEC as the "second best" team.

I'd put Iowa State, Colorado, Baylor, and OKie state against either one of those two conferences. They would show what speed and brutality on both lines is all about. No way could UK or Mich State be able to hang with the big boys. After reading these posts and what the dumbass coach said, it is pretty evident that not only are the teams lesser, but the intelligence of the fans is lagging behind the Big XII. You guys don't know shit about football. The Big XII would eat your lunch. From 1-12 nobody is tougher.

Yes, I know that. I just like to see Trixie get her thong in a knot.
