Well, my picks are back and here is my first week picks to help you beat your bookie....
1.Marshall +2.5 over Memphis
I don't know a lot about these teams nor do I care to know anything about them, but I do know that a Memphis player was just killed and I doubt they're all that focused. On top of that, I LOVE 3 point or less road dogs.
2.Louisville -14.5 over Utah
I've seen both teams play a couple of times and they both suck. But Brohm will rack up 500 yards and Louisville is trying to salvage something. Utah isn't really playing for much.
3.Illinois -2.5 over Wisconsin
It's over for the Badgers. Illinois will score at will. Illini don't have too bad of a defense.
4.Michigan St -14.5 over Northwestern
Spartans will rebound from their loss to Wisconsin. Their offense will rack up too many yards and too many points for N'Western to hang.
5.Kansas +3.5 over Kansas St
Big win, average program = letdown the next week. Rivalry game between 2 even teams, so I'll bet against the team that's getting any points.
6.Minnesota +13.5 over Indiana
Should be a close game. Indiana did not play well after the Iowa win last year, so I expect nothing to change this year. Look for a potential upset.
7.Iowa +7.5 over Penn State
I don't know if Iowa will win, but if you follow this series you know that Iowa always plays Penn State tough. In fact, we haven't lost in Happy Valley since 1994 and have won the last 5 meetings. Penn State isn't playing much better than Iowa lately anyways. And Penn State is a good matchup for Iowa's defense. It will be a low score game, so Penn State is not covering a spread that high.
8.Oklahoma -10.5 over Texas
Both teams are pissed. Oklahoma is still a much better team than Texas. Last week's loss to Colorado was a fluke. Texas' loss to K-State was not. The Red River Shootout games are always crappy and never close seemingly. I'll take Oklahoma to absolutely destroy the Horns.
9.Nebraska +6.5 over Missouri
This will be a close game. I'm undecided in who I think will win. While Nebraska has a crappy defense and Missouri has a solid offense, I think the Huskers can score with them with a balanced offense.
10.LSU -8.5 over Florida
Fact of the matter is, there's 2 teams in the country right now that are head and shoulders above everyone else and LSU is 1 of them. Tebow is a great talent but he's going on the road to face a test as a starter like he's never faced before. LSU also has revenge on their minds. LSU will win by at least 14-17 points.
Good luck and you'll enjoy winnings if you bet my picks!

Wow noJ, everytime I think you can't possibly top yourself in terms of moronic posts you go and prove me wrong.
Shocker that IU didn't play well after the Iowa win last year. A roadie to #1 ranked tO$U will do that to most teams, let alone a mediocre team trying to get to the next level. Despite the downgrade in coach IU is a much improved team over last year as all our guys have another year under their belts. I'll be shocked if Minny hangs within 21 on Saturday. This post only bolsters my feelings.
We'd be 5-0 with Hep on the sidelines.

1-0 so far for JON.
Not sure he'll be able to match last year's perfect week, though.
You'll notice I said "1-0." The whole W/L shorthand thing gets new rules when JON is involved.

Think being the key word here.
I KNOW Nebraska doesn't have a balanced offense. They haven't rushed north of 150 yards the last 3 games. That would included Ball St. and Iowa St. To have any chance they have to get over that number and no turnovers.
And "
crappy defense" is being entirely too kind.
Missouri by double digits.

The only sure locks I have ever seen from this guy is:
Iowa will put 85 players per year in the NFL
He roots for IU when they play Iowa
He is a bitch.

That collective gasp was from Sooner nation. This is the kiss of death. Not a fluke? 4 ints and 2 fumbles? 2 returns for TD's with a ton of missed tackles and a int return for a TD? Yeah, we are no Iowa, that is for sure. I will take Texas, thank you!!!!

If this Pick'Em thing wasn't just for fun, I'd probably edit my picks to take the opposite of JON's selections for games 2 through 10.

By the way, Lou Holtz defended KU in this game by saying, "What do you mean Kansas hasn't played anyone? They just played two teams that played Purdue."
Well shit, I'm sold.

Louisville-Utah is tonight, so not in the Pick'Em.
After you mentioned that, I went back and looked at JON's picks. I actually have two of them in the Pick'Em.
Guess that ruins my chances of winning this week.

Peter,
You didn't just run smack because I lost the first game by 1/2 a point thanks to the Memphis coach going for 2 in the 3rd quarter did you? Yeah, what a horrible pick......fucking dumbass!
Harvdog,
I don't care how Texas lost to K-State, it wasn't a fluke because Texas is not any better than K-State. Longhorns aren't good.....period. Oklahoma is. They just had an epic meltdown for the ages. The game will be over by the end of the 3rd quarter. Murray, Brown, and Patrick will run for an average of 5.5 yards per carry in this game combined and I think Bradford will get 200 in the air. Horns will turn it over enough that Oklahoma won't be able to rack up more than 400 yards. They'll have too good of field position. I think the difference in mindset between the 2 teams is Oklahoma is pissed off entering the game while Texas is probably questioning themselves. Oklahoma 34 Texas 10.
Lizard,
No, I don't bet at all except for a Pick 6 league I am in. I just like to pick games.

Still perfect after two games and Kansas is off to a good start...
Jon,
Since you're convinced CU's upset of OU was a fluke, do you think maybe you could pick against them for the next six games?

2-8
That's about par for our boy JON.
But go ahead and keep picking Iowa. It's fun watching them get plastered every week.
