A little story for the OU fans who were bitter about Maclin

there was one of you who acted like a sore pussy. Pretty sad to deflect shit on a 18 year old kid, without knowing anything about the kid and why he decided Mizzou over OU, after orally committing to OU.

Maclin

you sounded as bad as the MU retards who blast Gabbert, wish bad thoughts, and cheer his struggles weekly.

C'mon for christs sake, they are kids!

in the gabbert thread, i stated he wasnt the best qb in the state(5 star or not), Blaine Dalton from blue springs south is. I didnt badger the kid, and why should i?

oh well, a good story for a good kid.

I remember Maclin de-committing but i don't remember this sore pussy discussion. was that on this board? link?

i remember Maclin as a 4 star recruit who de-committed. i also remember T. Ombaga choosing MU over OU late in the process. is there a sore pussy thread about that too?

OU's WR corps has been recruited to with very good to great success both then and certainly since. Maclin would not have been the only gaudy starred recruit even in his class let alone competing for PT at OU. i'd suggest Maclin means more to you than to OU fan. despite last week, OU's WR play and depth has been a strength in the Stoops era.

he's looked great this year. and props to the kid coming back from injury.

edit: i read Tigerboard a couple times a week, and have been registered there since 2001. the Maclin-Gabbert/OU-MU bitterness comparison is not even close. i also see you post there.

no, there was one who did take a shot and was bitter

and the main point was about badgering these kids, its retarded, they have every right to pick and chose.

the idiots on tigerboard have wished injury on Gabbert, its fuckin sick!

PS Maclin would be a gamebreaker for OU also. he's running a 4.3 now after the injury and right now might be their best WR, and MU has had some solid WR. This year they go 5-6 deep, not counting the TE. All quality speedy players who make catches.

Believe the Heupel wrote:I'm going to want a link on any OU fan wishing for Maclin to get hurt on this forum or even being all that upset at him for switching to Mizzou. I just ran a search on "Maclin" in Big Time College Football and the only place I could find any OU fan dicussing him was me talking about why OU didn't recruit an Oklahoma kid because Maclin was already committed. Which he was at the time.
Noone wanted him hurt, but there was one who was bitter, no reason for me to out him, he will out himself eventually.(its not Suncoast)

and the threads about recruiting from that year are gone. I looked for a couple of threads about it and another about Nebraska(cause husker fan said they were back). seems someone did some cleaning!

Believe the Heupel wrote:So you're saying that someone went back and selectively deleted threads where someone criticized Maclin? Because quite obviously threads from before he switched his commitment are still around.
no, im saying the thread in question is not around

im saying a thread about nebraska is gone

not selective, probably the bottom of barrell, they do clean up the forums. There was a huge m2ool thread that is gone. a couple of threads that i had bookmarked are gone.!

Still bitter over the so-called "5th" down, aren't you?

In the first place, there wasn't any 5th down; an official's time-out negated one play at the goal line, which adds up to 4 downs, not 5.

In the second place, it's been over 15 years. Get over it already

Believe the Heupel wrote:Heh. Saw that same thread.

Wasn't me who you're talking about, is it? I remember mentioning that he decommitted, but as I recall I wasn't all that stressed about it.
nope

and it wasnt a major deal. just a shot at the kid.

like i said, i wondered why he would decommit also, then read about him and what he had been through and where he's at. seemed natural, kid who was brought up by family of his friend and he wants to stay close to home so they could see him play.

really, it was more about the turds on tigerboard and their bullshit with gabbert. especially the cheering of his injury!

it was 5ish am, was cranky

Adel, you should probably be concerned about the game Saturday instead of picking at this scab, more than a week out. 'sayin.

Wasn't me, btw. I've never had the Recruiting Sickness.

Nice article, adel. Thanks for the find and the link.

Good background info on Maclin.

You're a great Tigerfan, always representing win or lose, and I dig that.

There are lurking closet Tigerfans around these parts who shall remain un-named (sup Truman, Scott, dave?), and they know who they are. They'll come trundling in here out of the damn blue like they did last year once the bandwagon looks like it has all 4 wheels firmly attached...

..but, dude?

Save us the melodramatics, eh? Either call the OU cat out by name, or just stfu.

Who gives a fuck what some dumbshit okie from muskogee said anyway?
