I have 7 gi's and just got a Atama gold weave A3 and this is the best gi I own! I have 2 gamness, 1 Koral(super light and im a barn stormer in it), and 3 cheap addais gi's they are useless after 3 motnths no matter how much you wash them they stink!
I just bought a Lucky Gi. Everything ive heard about them is the bomb and the selling point was talking to BJ who said if I didnt like the lucky I could train with him for a month for free.
What do you know about the luckys? I know they are hard to grip and have anti bactirial stuff in them. Everyone is jacked on them but want to hear what you guys think if you have had any experience with them.
$250 it better be the shit!

Never played with one.
Forget the brand name of the one I have hanging. It's the stinky kind, but my grappling-since-birth buddy taught me the trick -- massive amounts of fabric softener.
It's actually a judogi... same concept... the coat tails are usually a butthair longer on the judogi. Tell you what, though, that thing got used and abused extremely badly, and is still in great shape(it's had a few years vacation). Has worn like iron. I'd buy another... and I'm pretty sure I paid less than $50 for it at the time.
But the smell factor can be an issue. I don't know what it is about some of that fabrics, but they have a knack for getting pretty nasty after a couple of hours.

I always wash my gi's in ainti bactirial soap so they they dont smell to bad. My under armor is a different story, I sweat like a pig no lie i'll drop 10 pounds of water in a class, and im impossible to get a sub on because im so slippery but my UA last about 20 classes until it stinks no matter how much I wash it.
Imma see if this Lucky Gi is all that it's made out to be. I tapped our best purple and brown today with a hangover in under 2 minutes and it took my teacher 8 minuted to get me in a arm bar and i still didnt sub , i told him to break it, he laughed.
I wont submit, id rather pass out or have my arm broken, and everyone in class knows I cant be choked out. We have a brutal team.
Ive trained at Yamasakis, LLoyd ivrings and can say Maguilla is hands down the best BJJ/MMA on earth. We dont give out belts you have to earn them. It's the way ot should be!

I've never rolled in one either. I have a Koral that was about $125 and another one that is made by some local Houston company (the name escapes me).
I've been training mostly no gi the past year or so, so my gi's don't get used that much. The place I go to just recently changed the schedule around which is making it very difficult for me to attend any classes. I might have to bail on it for awhile. Not happy about that.
