he's so NFL smart and the WCO he lit up Missouri for 2 field goals, no touch downs. once he gets HIS players in the SYSTEM. 5 star recruits are gonna line up in droves to play for he guy who got assfucked in the Super Bowl and Raider legends like Tim Brown hated and called a liar. and he's rolling up wins at Nebraska after "studying up" on the history.
let's do a little dance, make a little love for the WCO Genius. yet still to beat a ranked team. but lit up Missouri for 6 points.
how's that extension working out for you Pederson?
Great hire.
love me, i'm Bill.
any of you Husker cats wanna defend this guy anymore?

Pederson is a fucking tool. He talked a ton of trash after firing the '03 staff and hasn't back-it-up for shit. The '03 staff saw 10-wins, will Callahan ever?
I guarantee you if we passed the hat around the state we could easily come up with the cash to can BC and Pedey. Perlman should just can Pedey and BC then ask for funds, I don't donate shit normally and I'd drop a couple Benjamins in the till.
Announcer on a local call-in show made a nice point. During BC's Superbowl year the qb was given an option of several plays and Gannon would chose one based on what he saw. In BC's second season he gave himself more playcalling power and we saw what happened. BC can come up with respectable scripted-plays but is not a good gametime coach.
Unfortunately we are likely stuck with Callahan, but he could still work-out decently if he guts the D-staff and replaces them with guys that are actually worth a crap. He also needs hand-over playcalling duties and further modify the WCO for college-use. I think he'll gut the D-staff, he has to. But I doubt BC fires himself as playcaller. I still would much-rather be running the spread-option than the WCO. The WCO is nice for attracting recruits but very hard for a college-guy to run.

Shhh. Huskerfan, don't listen to KC. Shawn Watson is an offensive genius. You guys should keep him around as long as possible...

Nothing and I mean nothing will happen unless Perlman gets his head out of his ass and cans Pedersen. The most I can hope for is a complete meltdown this season to end 4-8. If that happens, the heat will get very hot on Pedersen. He keeps a nice wall around him now, but it's bound to start crumbling.
Callahan will not fire any coaches unless he is instructed to, which he won't. We'll continue to be given the same line of that it's the system that is working, but the players aren't executing. I've ranted as much as I can. I'll admit I've been pulled back on the Callahan bandwagon a few times after some decent wins, but my God has the train derailed.
Mark it down. This season will produce the absolute worst defense an NU team has ever fielded.
It's not that Callahan doesn't have talent, but when he has a bunch of players that are courted to NU for getting to the next level, it's kind of hard to sell those selfish bastards on team unity. As a result, we have a disorganized mess on both sides of the ball.
I know OU fans tried to warn me about this, but I kept getting pulled back in. I'm officially out. I'm not sure if there is anything that can pull me back in unless Callahan completely revamps how he runs things and that's not going to happen. He's too busy basking in his genius to notice that Rome is burning.
