You think Sanchez will start this week?(booty injured so they say)
And will he start to see some playing time as the season winds down? Very interested in seeing what he can do, while watching a highschool allstar game, 3 players dominated.
Sanchez
d.williams(penn st)
jackson(cal)
those 2 have had big games and seasons, interested in what He can do!

I don't think the coaches are very high on Sanchez, but he may be our best option at this point. He's not very respected by his teammates, but I won't elaborate.
If the coaches are going to take a spin with Sanchez, now is the time to do it. Booty's broken finger is an out for the coaches to make a move - and hopefully Arizona at home would be a good game to put him in. Hopefully.
Make no mistake about it, though. Mitch Mustain will be the starting QB next season.

Sanchez should start, Booty is horrible and Im not buying the broken finger tip shit, Ainge had a broken finger before the Fecal game and he didnt throw 4 interceptions, Booty is just a shitty Quarterback.
besides Sanchez is from Orange County, the good USC QBs come from here, not Louisiana

This is some pretty sudden and over-the-top Booty-bashing, which I didn't recall seeing prior to the Stanford game.

Booty gives them the best chance to win. With all the teams getting losses, this midseason loss won't cost them a BCS game or even the BCS title game. Of course, the lack of a conf playoff game might.
In any case, SC should not be making QB changes until the possibility of a conf championship is out the window.
Take all this knee-jerking for what it is worth. Bad loss to a bad team = FIRE THE AD! FIRE THE COACHES! BENCH THE QB!
And before anyone brings up he fact I've called for Fran's head, remember I've done that for 2 years now and it wasn't just after the Miami game. Yeah, we're in first now, and will be after next week win or lose (lose most likely). We're winning awful ugly though and the one loss was more awful than all the wins combined.

I certainly hope so.

I meant the ugliness of that loss was uglier than the combined ugliness of the 5 wins.
38-7 win vs. Montana St. only 10 pt. halftime lead
Triple overtime win vs. Fresno St. after leading 19-0 at half.
17 down to Okie St to pull it out by 1
7 pt. lead on Baylor at the half and that was a TD w/2:00 left in the half
54-14 win over ULaMon. Still gave up 350 yards offense, 215 on the ground.
The 34-17 loss to Miami was smoke and mirrors. We had 2 late TD. It was a buttfucking in the mouth of all proportions. Course, I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I? ;)

I don't know about sudden. The thing is you expect a certain amount of leadership from certain players.
In the case of SC's offense it was expected to come from Booty, a senior quarterback.
You would also expect his play to at least be steady or improve as the season progresses and it's been the exact opposite.
Yes, there's a certain amount of blame to be placed on his receivers for poor routes and dropped passes.
Having said that he seems to lack any kind of passion or emotion and he sure doesn't seem to make the players around him better.
All of this was just magnified in the loss to Stanford but most SC fans have seen it all year.

So you'll take our RBs but not the QBs?

Really wish we played SC this weekend, instead of the 27th.
With that said, it's probably best for SC to keep going with Booty. I think switching to Sanchez right now, could be trouble in a few weeks. Arizona and Notre Dame isn't going to prepare him to take snaps at Autzen in a few weeks. I'd much rather be facing a kid taking his 3rd start (and first start against a bowl-bound team) when SC comes to play.
Of course, if Sanchez comes in and lights the world on fire, then its a genius move. But, if I'm SC I take my chances with Booty. 1 loss doesn't kill you, even to Stanford. If Sanchez comes in and loses, though, then people really start questioning Carroll.
We've had so many promising seasons ruined by our coach's love to play musical QBs, once you start switching them around sometimes you just fuck up the whole team for the year.

The coaches and AD didnt throw 6 Ints and turn the ball over 7 times obver the last 2 weeks. The coaches and the ADs dont lock on to one reciever and never progress through their reads. The coaches and ADs dont sack themselves when they hear pressure coming.
John David Everett is a horribly over rated QB from a HS with a tradition of overrated QBs
Sanchez is USCs best chance to get the offense motivated and make them play with fire in their guts. He is more mobile, larger, has a stronger arm and he will take a hit. mark has heart, Booty does not

You've come to this conclusion after watching Sanchez stay in the pocket and make clutch throws against great teams?
The fact remains that if Sanchez was a better QB, he would be playing. And you better hope he or Mustain are all that, because Corp isn't the answer, either.

Ya I've read that Sanchez hasn't shown a whole lot in practice. I agree that Booty
might be SC's best chance to win, but if he's hurt maybe he doesn't. What if that
injury was the reason for some of those gawd-awful throws we saw on Saturday? Booty has made more than his share of horrendous throws when he wasn't hurt though.
Oh well. We'll see what happens come Saturday. I do know SC needs to get some of their injured O-line guys back in a hurry.

I think somebody's a little bitter over this loss...
I didn't get to see this game because it wasn't shown here, so on Sunday I was looking for some highlights on the net.
I found this on YouTube.
The best part is at the end, about 2:30 into the clip, when Stanford starts celebrating. Be sure to have your sound turned up if you watch it.

(besides the part where the announcer can't figure out who just scored or what the score is...)

I heard Sanchez plays dirty.
