Very dangerous act and it deserved a very stiff penalty. The league now is at the point where any dangerous hit near the head will get probably you a minimum of 20-25 games. They'll probably keep ratcheting up the punishments if those hits still occur. If losing a quarter of your season isn't a loud enough message, I'm sure the league won't hesitate to give these types of hits an even bigger penalty in the future. Steve Downie is already out 20 games for the Flyers for hitting McAmmond during the preseason and Simon still has some of his suspension left over from last year's 25 game suspension.
