...because I know you're all glued to your sets for this one.
First of all, who is this jackass announcer? "Cody Hawkins is a scrambler." Huh? That's probably been one of my biggest criticisms with Cody through the first half of the season - he seems way too content to just throw the ball into the bleachers when his first read isn't open, as opposed to actually tucking it in and trying to pick up a few yards with his feet.
Edit: It's Bob Davie.

Ouch. This one could get ugly in a hurry.

That was a clutch 3rd down conversion. It'd be nice to add another FG before halftime...

BTW, after about the 3rd time that Bob Davie said that this game was for the North lead, they finally showed a graphic with Kansas on top of the standings. Maybe I've just never paid attention during other games he's done, but this guy is a tool as an announcer (not that he was all that great as a coach).

Nice drive by the Buffs to pull to within 10 with 5 min left in the 3rd. this one's not over, but CU's gonna have to play damn near flawless football from here on out...

Wow. Blocked punt for a TD. 40-20 K-State at the end of the 3rd. That's pretty much ballgame right there. :(

Hawk is overacheiving with this bunch. Barnett never was a great recruiter, but his last couple years, he got nothing but 2nd & 3rd level players. That's why Hawkins is starting so many freshmen & sophomores- they really are better than the upperclassmen.

a bowl game is still a good year for Hawkins and CU. beating OU got the students back innit....but reality 2-10 to 7-5 is looking pretty good come off-season.

I agree, but 7-5 is gonna be tricky to pull off. It's probably safe to chalk up ISU as a win, but they're gonna have to pull an upset against either Kansas, Mizzou or Tortilla Tech just to be 6-5 heading into the NU game. Even if they lose all 3 of those games but beat Nebraska and win whatever shitty bowl game they'd end up in as a 6-6 team, that'd be acceptable in my book.

i think at Tech is a L, but i think CU beats at least one of KU, MU, and NU in Boulder..if not two. and you have to beat ISU. i'd put the over/under at 6.5 wins at this point with 3 home games left.
who knows where Nebraska will be in a month? and MU fan is already tickling their own nutsacks about not losing another game this year.
