Honestly? I never paid much attention to Euro brews or the history of them, and these days I'm into mostly Cali Micros, because that's what's available around here. There isn't a decent import beer place within driving distance, because most of the locals drink - you guessed it - budweiser, coors, miller, etc etc.

I see Budweiser, I turn and run.

I made the Anheuser connection but didn't bother to google or wiki anything.
