Texas- Nebraska

Post by campinfool »

Wow, we really suck. Against the worst rush defense in the country, Texas till can't run downhill and the secondary can't cover shit. Being a 21 point favorite has turned to a 14 point deficit in the 3rd quarter at home. The way this team plays I'm not sure if Texas wins any more the test of the way.

Bill Callahan won't be able to walk off the field as many blow jobs the C-team announcers are giving him.

It's not over, but nothing an 86 yard TD run can't help.

Was expecting this. Sure enough, Callahan went into panic mode and instead of the power running that was working, he started to pass every down. Result: turnovers and QB now out of the game as a result of that. Thanks Callahan.

I was excited that we showed up to play given the circumstances around the team. However, I'm not so sad to have them lose as every nail is another one in Callahan's coffin. I don't need any 11th hour governor's call to save his ass.

I don't think our conditioning is very good, our D was gassed in the 4th. Plus Texas was likely to get past our all the guys we were sending sooner or later. I liked the effort though. Kudos to all involved for not quitting.

In typical BC fashion we couldn't drop the hammer when we had a lead.

The only good thing about this is that, like At Large said, there was one more nail driven-in this regime's coffin. We'll be a green team next year but at least we should be well-coached.

Congrats to Texas on the win, you showed good compusure in your comeback. I can't say I was impressed overall though. In Austin you should've dominated our average asses not just scabdicked-by.

Even them getting close pisses me off.

Callahan is an embarrasment to CFB, not to mention the conference, and not even to mention poisoning THE rivalry. That jackass.

Why are we frauds as the best fans (I hate that label by the way)? Because we've all said 'No More' after giving this jackass chance after chance? After every loss, save for the OU one, he's done nothing but fed us a bunch of B.S. about how 'A win is a win', 'We're competing', 'They're (team that we had no business losing to or almost lost to) a good football team.', 'We're making adjustments, they're just to complicated for you to see.', etc. You can only hear that much B.S. before you say enough is enough.

Yeah, they're some jackasses out there, but whatever we've done (the booing, leaving early) were mostly pointed towards this inept coaching staff that's drug our storied program through the gutter and our former militant AD that burned so many bridges in this state that it's going to take years to mend.

Yeah, it's been ugly, but we're not about to pull a Missouri and take years and years of mediocrity.

Every fan base has their own asshole fans to deal with, we are no exception. So forgive me if I don't feel myself included in that group. Those fans should be banned or thrown out if caught bad-mouthing the players. I don't have to defend them, though. That's their right if they want to be jerks. I don't agree with it, so stop lumping me in with them.

That's like blaming all minorities of a certain type because one happened to be a jerk. Give it up...

lets also add that when the players are leaving the stadium, they are verbally abused.

lets keep the"its a small amount of people" bullshit out of this. an excuse we hear all to often.

not since the"keith hernandez" incident have i been sick of a teams fan base, dont get me wrong, there are several theories on Keith, was it spit, was newman lying, but still u cannot deny its validity.

PS the many decades MU was stinking it up on the field, the fans chanted harpos, boo'd a little, and left at half to keep partying in parking lot , never once assaulting players verbally. Thats what fan bases with no life do.

Eat a dick adel, I'm sick of this bullshit in every husker-thread.

A few dumbasses bitch at players and now the whole fanbase are no-life losers? Ya that makes sense.

When we visited in 99 I saw your classy fans assault our mascot and getting their drunk asses thrown out of the stadium in droves.

I find it very hard to believe that no Missouri fan has never verbally assaulted a player...

The reason NU fans got the reputation as one of the best fans in college football is because unlike other place, when you come to visit our city, we are actually nice to opposing fans, buy them drinks, show them around town, leave their out-of-state cars alone, not hassle them when you're in our stadium and applauding the visiting team when they leave the field. That hasn't changed the last time I checked.

c'mon

i called the tards out on Tigerboard when they were wishing injuries and harm to Blaine Gabbert for committing to Nebraska, its fucking bullshit, he's a 17 year old kid for christs sake.

but when you actually verbally assault the players during the game and while they leave the stadium, thats where the line has been drawn. Getting in their faces, i mean c'mon. Noone should condone this and trying to talk about MU fans is just the typical crap NU spinmysters do. Do ya really think NU fans that there isnt a reason opposing fans in big12 North have problems with NU fans? Think the pompous ass shit and attitudes you and your fans had for decades wouldnt come back to bite you in the ass???? CU,KU,KST,MU fans have nothing but ill will toward Nu fans and their attitudes, think it has to do with you winning? Think again!

I don't have any problem with Husker fans. I enjoy nothing more than watching their team lose, but 99% of the Husker fans I've met have been classy, friendly, and knowledgeable about not only their team, but CFB in general (and I grew up in Nebraska, so I've met a shit-ton of them). Are they maybe a little pompous, as if they're somehow entitled to winning? I guess. Is there a small minority of them that are flat-out assholes? Probably, but it's a lot smaller percentage than that of most fan bases.

I agree that berating a bunch of 18- to 22-year-old kids is not very classy, but it's nothing you wouldn't see in virtually every stadium across the country on any given Saturday. Some people are just jackasses, but I thought we were beyond judging a team's fan base on the actions of a small minority.

yeah, you watch the highlights of Charles' run(s) and it's like NU doesn't even have linebackers on the field. he breaks the LOS and has 15-20 yards of unimpeded running.

The sadder part of that statement is how long did it take for the Texas staff to try to make adjustments to try to beat the blitz? Even on the TD runs I think it was just lucky plays that just happened to work despite what the Texas coaches were calling.
