This proves Bellotti can only take his team as far as his O Coord can take him. Dixon goes down, and a one-legged Brady Leaf can't run the spread, even though Chip Kelly kept calling plays as though he could. At that point it is BELLOTTI's job as the HEAD COACH to steop in an say, "look, we still have J Stewart and he's getting 5 yards a carry even when he's hit at the line of scrimmage, there's still plenty of time left in this game and the D has settled down, let's just ram it down their throats."
But no, all I saw from MB is an expressionless "DUUUUUUUHHHHHH" look on his face the whole second half. No emotion. No sense of purpose or determination. Once DD went down Bellotti had no clue ow to handle it. He sucks.
I blame Bellotti
