Sloppy drunks: with some success, thy name is Mizzou fan

they are everywhere "all of a sudden" on Big XII boards not unlike the locals here....just hysterical and nonsensical braggadocio.
that said: i've been a big proponent of the Border War as a rivalry on our boards for a long time--as a sympathetic observer. those people hate each other and with so little at stake it makes OU and UT look almost friendly. however, noobs drunk with power is kinda sad to see in addition to migrations from the almighty pussy bleeding AFC West/NFL boards.
i like Mizzou over KU. Pick.
I'm tellin ya again, had MU beat OU a month ago War Wagon would have gone Roger Bannister on board bitch like the 8 minute mile.

i've been on the cfb boards supporting Mizzou since the Trolls days.

what you want to hope for is that that "winning" becomes defined differently in your eyes as a fan. enjoy it now, like KSU fan did in the late 90's....but the reality is you need to win big games against big-time opponents. you were down 3 scores to OU with 2 minutes left and you and Wags talk like Oklahoma was lucky to win. 3 scores. i personally do not think this year's OU team is all that great, but who is? Do i think Mizzou could beat OU in a rematch, sure. but, you basically lost by 3 scores and had a last minute meaningless TD.
i pity the team that plays LSU in New Orleans. i only kinda halfway hope it's OU. i was there last time.
maybe the next BCS game can be in Oklahoma City, that's a neutral site.

PS they are 9-1, ranked #5. Incase your not familiar with the term bandwagon, the wagon has begun to fill.

Driving home from Airport last night, the call in show is all Border War and if both KU & MU win today - the next week will be nothing but border war
The biggest Football game in the history of Arrowhead will be yhe MU - KU game - That's ironic
Living in KC there has not been any college or pro football game or team of significance since '93 (Chiefs with Old Joe Montana). The closest may have been K-State choking out a few years ago in the Big 12 championship.
So Except for the Blue Springs teams annual beatdowns of St. Louis in Class 6 (OK so it will be Rockhurst laying the wood to Waynesville this year) , or the Pop Warner teams I've coached to championships - the Football cupboard has been pretty bare.
Gotta understand - This is like a fucking Superbowl for this city

The nouveau-riche are damn annoying. You don't see them here so much because most don't know this board exists. But on the popular homer-boards on rivals, scout, etc they abound. They are a bunch of bandwagoning, haterade-spewing, douchebags. Represent your team regularly, don't just talk a bunch of shit after they start winning.

dude, FSU makes no sense
they have a ton of talent and speed, and are fucking pathetic offensively. there are no excuses, with the recruiting classes they have!
u remember, i was a huge Rouse fan, ok, didnt know he'd ricky williams it, but man. how can u be so bad on the offensive side with all of that talent in state changed ocoords and still not very good.
it should be clear to all, Bobby gotta go. longer he stays, the longer FSU underachieves. Only problem is, if he goes, does he get to pick the coach, usually that turns out horrible, a buddy gets the choice and program suffers even more. Unlike ND, who has to recruit out of state heavily, FSU wil lalways get the 5 star kids from Fla, problem is, are they really 5 stars or 2 stars on monster highschool teams
remember while living in cocoa beach, palm bay had his fucking beast(stats showed), and he was rated high, but if you watched the games, Palm bay was 10000 times better than anyone in their conference. He was an vaerage player on super team. I can remember going to see eau gallie(sp?) and melbourne games to kill times on fridays! Good times. coconuts. ah good times

New Offensive coaches across the board and Learning a new system. If it doesnt get done next year, then yeah it is just over.

Rouse cost us a game with personal fouls and running up and down the sidelines crying acting like fucking Randy Moss or TO. Fuck that dude.

FSU and Bowden use to go out and recruit. Recently they started relying on those ranking systems. Fuck that. FSU needs to go out and grassroots recruit. FSU has all this 5 and 4 star talent but guys with stars dont mean shit.
Ps. Most FSU fans are not going to argue about Papa B. He needs to go. I think most of us, if not all of us, are afraid of becoming another Bama. Never getting another good run and just talking about the good old days. That shit is scary for a guy who lives in alabama.

Shut the hell up with your tired "I gotta throw thugsker-shit into every thread" garbage.
1. You are such a hypocrite. Why is it when fans from other programs are dumbasses they are dumbass individuals but some huskerfans being dumbasses it is symptomatic of their fans being losers in general? Nice double-standard there.
2. Did I ever say there weren't dumbasses on every forum? Ya of-course every team has some dumbass-fans but that wasn't the focus of the thread. The thread was about dumbasses that come out of the woodwork to talk shit when their team starts winning. When a team starts winning the dumbass-percentage rises because folks love to ride the wave.
3. As was noted in my post I wasn't talking about the regulars here. We do get some bandwagoning here(you fuckers know who you are) but not much because this isn't a rivals-type board.
4. Of course the guy who threatened Coz is a total piece-of-shit loser. He belongs behind bars. But lots of teams have asshole fans, what kind of welcome do you think 'sker-fans get at road-games in the north? Many won't even go to the CU-game anymore for fear of what will happen to them or their car.

this gem from Nebraska Duh fan
Gary Pinkel is the farthest thing from a class act as there is in football. How could any players want to come and play for this guy? Throughout the years I have seen him do nothing but bash other teams and have no respect whatsoever for the Big 12 or the other coaches in the league. The most recent occurences were this season when he allowed his players to openly talk about how they wanted to humiliate Nebraska through the media and how they didn't just want to win, they wanted to destroy them. He did everything short of openly coming out and saying I hate Nebraska and everything they represent. Now correct me if I am wrong but this is no way to show respect for a program that has been nothing but a class act in the ncaa for the past 50 plus years. He has no respect for the history and to allow your players to publicly state such things is flat out disrespectful. On top of that, the most troubling thing to me is how he lured Blaine Gabbert away from Nebraska. He has Gabbert come out for a visit and probably does nothing but bash on the program, the coaches, and everything else he can to lure Gabbert away. This is nothing short of going and trying to steal your neighbors girlfriend or wife away from him. I mean Nebraska had been recruiting Gabbert for a long time and Gabbert gave the Huskers a solid verbal committment, even went and started telling other guys he knew to come aboard to get Nebraska's program back on track. All of a sudden Nebraska has a shaky season and Pinkel sees the wound and pounces on the opportunity. Isn't there some sort of code of ethics when it comes to recruiting? Is this something that you do to another team in your conference in a neighboring state where you play each other every year? How is this supposed to provide for any sort of working relationship with other teams? Everyone can see what a snake in the grass this man is. It is one thing to win a recruit over another program. It is completely different to lure a recruit away that has already given another program a solid verbal and openly said he is not interested in other programs. Isn't there a time when you should back off? Pinkel is the farthest thing from a class act in college football. This type of behavior will inevitably come back to bite him as there is no way Missouri will continue to be an elite program in college football. They don't have the resources, the players, and frankly, the coaches. When Nebraska returns to prominence which will be soon despite the ludacris articles about how noone wants to play somewhere that is cold, I hope they go back to spanking Missouri every time they play them as if Missouri was their unworthy little brother. Missouri has a good year every four or five years and Gary Pinkel better remember who he is, where he came from, and just what type of program he is running before he gets ahead of himself. There is something to be said for being humble and respecting the integrity of other programs and coaches.
i guess serious bode is intact, Mu assraped Nu months ago and they continue to stalk the Columbia tribune forums??? buwahahahahahahahahahaha

Yep. That's not much of an exaggeration. The atmosphere at Arrowhead is going to be absolutely off the goddamned charts next Saturday.
Gameday is going to be there, and it will be a night game on ABC.
I was there for the Big XII championship game last year. I can only imagine that game paling in comparision with the amount of buzz surrounding this one, simply because of the huge number of fans from both schools in KC and the relative proximity of the campuses.
I imagine the chamber folks have their chests puffed out over the economic impact and national exposure for KC.

RF, I went to the Big 12 title game at Arrowhead in '03 (K-State vs. Oklahoma) and that fucker was ROCKING....I can only imagine that this KU-MU game there will be 10 times more intense and loud. Next Sat. night cannot get here soon enough!
