do you really want tubberville?
dude, he's brining a boring run it out, punt, no throwing offense attack. aubrun is boring and not good offensively. if they cant run, they are fucked.
Wouldnt you rather have someone with more creativity, air it out, and use the run?
i think he's a bad hire. just my op.
look at top 10ish teams, teams who have gone to spread are prominent in rankings. its hard to stop the run with 6 db's on the field. And its hard to stop 4 solid WR's/

He might actually bring defense to that Arena Football Conference
Ps. Ask the gates about boring tuberville

I guess the NFL plays that boring football too
BTW, Does the big XII play 8 on 8 football? Those scores look retarded

nah
they just know, you have to put points on the board to win. KU got ass raped last year by trying to run a pro set offense. win with defense.
now they run a spread and are #3 in nation.
times have changed

I guess we will see if LSU makes the championship and plays Kan or Mizzou if times have changed.
LSU also plays that boring type of game.

LSU has guys who can make big plays
if ryan perilloux is QB next season, you will see a spread run and fun offense.
its the 2000 thing. spread them out, put up points. bend but dont break on defense. the days of running option and playing defense are over!

FSU has been winning on D alone for the past 7 years.
Tubby has been having success with that dead form of football in the 21st century

its one of those things
run n shoot type offense
running qb's who cant throw
spread offense
pretty soon someone will come up with another bandwagon offense. putting up points excites the crowds
chicks dig the long ball

I am pretty sure the 2000 thing was OU 13 FSU 2.
The Mangino spread offesne did not win that title game OU's D did.

dont get me wrong
i love a physical blitzing defense. but you still have to score. and oumo, that was years ago.
hey, i would love for MU to run the ball 30-35 times a game, but they refuse and air it out.

like i said, with the lead, i would love to see Mu run, especially wiht the good backs they have. but they wont do it.
and this is why i dont like Pinkel and his staff
the defense has speed and talent, but a very weak scheme. they play the bend and break defense! sometimes they have their corners 18 yards off the WR holy fuck

I agree, maybe I came off wrong.
Mangino was the OC for OU that year, he is having a lot of success now at Kansas.
FSU had a spetacular offense that year, "minus Snoops in the NC game I know" I don't even think if Heupel had been healthy OU ever wanted to get in a shootout with them.
But to consitatnly be in the running for a NC you have to play good D year in and year out.
I guess this is the thing I don't like about the spread offences now is that they are usually based on the talent of one QB. Growing up watching the wishbone I realize how much timing matters with said main QB. I don't like the chances that those offences put their QB's subject to injury.
Furthermore in a typical spread O, if the QB just happens to have a bad day, your O is screwed unless your D and or speacial teams step up and puts the O in short feild situations
I don't diagree with you Adelpiero, but I still think you can win by running the ball and playing solid D. tOSU seems to have been doing it for about 6 years now.

u can win with the run, but you have to have a QB who can make plays
and for some reason, many teams cant find this person
