There was a reason I stayed sober tonight ...
That was an asskicking.
I had a bad feeling about this game after watching Baylor go up and down the field against OU's defense, and was hoping the other defense would show up, especially on the road.
Props to Tech. MO's right, the title of the thread says it all.

Erie similar to what happened to Texas last year against Kstate.
The big question is will History repeat itself?

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if OU loses to OSU, Texas gets into the Big 12 championship game, KU beats Mizzou and Texas beats KU in the Big 12 championship.
And Ohio State and Georgia make it into the MNC.

And Texas loses to Hawaii on some freaky sandlot play

yeah, it's a tough loss given the potential scenario unfolding (control destiny to play in Nawlins) but there was no point in the season thus far where i thought Oklahoma was the best team in the country. you can argue that no one else has really shown it either, but i don't see why the big melty from OU fan on OU board. i sorta lost faith in this OU team against ISU. we got whipped physically in that game for 3 quarters. we were easy to tackle, the Clones were pushing us around after almost every play.....and reality this team has been pretty weak on the road, lost to CU (total giveaway in the 4th Q, mental collapse much like last night's 2nd Q), struggle at ISU, lose to Tech.

Fuck it, I almost posted this in a completely different way on Friday night ...
I went out with some co-workers for a few beers on Friday night. One of them, a Mizzou grad and big-time CFB fan and I got to talking. He mentioned something about if Mizzou wins against KSU then KU, how he would absolutely LOVE to go to SA and see the Big XII championship. He knows I used to live there and I told him, "Fuck it. If OU and Mizzou win out, let's go. I've got people there we can stay with, for free."
Him: "Oh man, that would be the greatest trip ever."
Me: "How much are you willing to pay for a ticket, if we're able to get them on StubHub or someplace like that?"
Him: "How much were tickets, face-value, last year?" (my free tix to the Big XII championship at Arrowhead)
Me: "I want to say like $75, maybe more."
Him: "Well, let's just see what happens."
We left it at that.
Now, this was on Friday night, like I said, before OU's debacle 24 hours later, and the assumption was, OU and Mizzou might be playing for a spot in the MNC. So much for that.
Mizzou still might, obviously. If OU wins Saturday, I still might go, just to have a blast in SA.
Anybody have any ideas, other that StubHub, about getting "reasonably" priced tickets? The OU Alumni Association is offering packages, but it's like $375 or something, with a bunch of lodging and other shit, that I don't need, having lived in SA for 10 years.
Also, I offered to go, thinking the Big XII championship could be for a MNC birth. The idea of being asshole spoiler fan doesn't exactly appeal to me, with a co-worker, but if dude wants to go, we're there.
Thoughts?

Sorry I'm in late, guys...
OU got buttfucked in the mouth.
If Stoops doesn't start adjusting his pre-game gameplanning to what teams start doing once the game actually starts, then he's going to start feeling some heat, I think. He can't win without doing some coaching on-the-fly. This shit is killing me...
