Flyers looking at 4th suspension after Hartnell board

Figures that Hartnell would charge/board Bruin Andrew Alberts when he couldn't protect himself. 4th time this season that a Flyer has caused an injury due to a cheap shot. The league needs to suspend Flyers head coach John Stevens for a few games to send the message that this kind of BS will not be tolerated.
Hartnell will get 5 games minimum.

That hit was more dangerous than the Jones hit but Alberts didn't get as seriously hurt as Bergeron did. I don't think these hits need to be judged on injury because it's the act itself and the intent that leads to potential injury on the other player.

What a great job Colin is doing, 2 games? They need to have someone in charge of discipline that is not part of the good ol boys club.

I was surprised it was just two games...I think the Randy Jones suspension was the same. The Hartnell hit was malicious intent and somehow got the same as Jones who just made a basic hit on a guy in vulnerable position. Campbell was pretty consistent when it came to Downie and Boulerice hits to the head but I don't understand how the Hartnell hit isn't considered as dangerous. I'd assume the actual damage inflicted on Alberts is the reason but he gave Jones only 2 games for his hit on Bergeron and he's out indefinitely with his injuries.

Hartnell's hit was terrible- I won't disagree with you on 5 games minimum. Jones hit wasn't the least bit dirty, Bergeron just put himself in bad position as most hockey experts would agree. Boulerice, who was suspended 25+, isn't even on the team as he was cut after making that hit. Downie was suspended 20 games.
So of the 4 hits, 1 guy is off the team, another is suspended long term, Jones' hit wasn't even dirty, just a victim of a player not positioning himself correctly and Hartnell's bad hit. Is the edict to hurt players coming from Stevens? Hardly, it's not his style and he's come out and said so.

You know what,
Rack the return of the Broad Street Bullies.
It's about the only reason worth watching the Betteman run NHL.
