Henry Hyde RIP

Henry Hyde was a force on the Georgetown Hoyas basketball team
back in the early 1940's.
Oh-- he went on to chair the Impeachment Trial of BJ Clinton later on.

Isn't he the Congressman who had a "youthful indescretion" (ie an affair where he did have sex with that woman) at the age of 41?

Republicans are all such moral, family values oriented people.

No, he just hid it for what, 30 years, until he was outted. Now that's very honorable.

who was impeached ??

You can't impeach a Congressman. Tell me you knew?
(Who was convicted in that "impeachment", BTW?)

I'll repeat Wolfman's querie, did he lie about it under oath?

It was never a moral question dumbass, it was about a sitting President leaving himself open to possible blackmail, diminishing the office, and looking the American people straight in the eye and feeding us bullshit.

You people can not defend those issues so you result to the same old song and prance, everyone else is doing it, so why can't bill fuck around with an intern.

That alone would get you fired and draw a sexual harassment law suit at even a mid-level corp. never mind leaving a guy open to some bullshit critisizm who lost the nuke codes multiple times and told the Special Forces to wait on his approval for missions while he wanted to watch a golf shot at Augusta.

Now listen to that dumbass peeing his pants because, and I quote, "I was never given the chance to support our troops."

Fuck that joke of a President, he and jimmy carter will go down in history well below Bushy. Mark my fucking words.

I doubt that dude, I imagine he doesn't discriminate between humans, children or dogs.

Anything with a cigar hole and that will lick peanut butter off of his crooked wanker will do.

Oh, and by the way, brilliant retort B-whack. Did you make that one up all by your lonesome?

Of course not, I had a plant from the Hillary campaign make it up to further our liberal media conspiracy. And if it weren't for those meddling kids we would have gotten away with it!

Oh man, you are improving by the moment.

Read anything of substance that was written and step away from your Al Frankenstein moronic bullshit and think for yourself. I mean, after you get your driver's license, that is.

Where lieth any reference to plants in the Republican debate in any of my comments?

I am no longer Republican, although I won't for any Donkey in this campaign, but the Republicans offer little choice either.

So don't play that bullshit part line on me. I'm as disatisfied with my President for many things as much as you people are.

But if this going to become a political boxing match than you better go back to your corner, cut your swollen cheek and come out swinging Rocky, because right now you offer nothing but, well nothing.

I'm not the one who brought up "BJ" Clinton in a thread *supposedly* started to honor a deceased Congressman.

Warren, if you think that lying about cheating on your wife is worse than the original act of cheating, then I feel sorry for your poor spouse.

BTW...way to go wolfman. Bringing up your favorite subject - Clinton's blowjob - in this supposed tribute thread. I'm pretty sure, at this point, that your main reason for even starting this was to slide the BJ reference in. I definitely feel sad for your senile ass.

Yes, and then the Senate dismissed the charges for lack of jurisdiction.

No shit, pinhead. There was no jurisdiction because he had already been expelled from the Senate. You can't very remove somebody from Congress who is not a member of Congress.
Which thereby set the precedent that the proper response is an expulsion vote, not an impeachment.

That isn't what happened, you ignorant dipshit. He was expelled before he was impeached. When the House sent the bill to the Senate, the Senate ruled they had no jurisdiction because Blount was no longer a member of Congress.

Check back if and when you ever get a clue.
He was expelled on the same day the articles of impeachment were voted on. If you don't think that was an explicit rejection of impeachment as an appropriate measure to punish Members of Congress, then you're beyond explaining. Tell me why, out of all the Members of Congress to have faced expulsion hearings, none since have ever been impeached?

Wrong again. Now you're just making shit up.

The House moved on July 7th 1797:
"That a member go to the Senate, and, at the bar of that House, impeach William Blount, in the name of this House and of all the people of the United States; and to inform them that they will, in due time, exhibit articles of impeachment against him, and make good the same."
Blount was expelled from the Senate the following day.
So I missed by one day. Whoopdy freakin do. :meds:

The fact remains that the Senate short circuited the House's Impeachment by expelling him.

The Senate derailed the impeachment by finding that he was not a civil officer of the United States.
The HoR "impeachment" was not a legitimate action.

If you can't get pass the fact that the sex act was not the problem than you are truly not getting past first grade. To lie under oath in front of a grand jury is called perjury, ask JSC if you can't figure out that one. President Clinton's Department of Justice had placed men and women in jail for doing just that, yet he, in his holy gracefullness was held to a different level of standard.

Feel free to dispute his statements which he were allowed to make via closed circuit video testimonial bullshit and then tell me where I'm wrong.

I don't give a flying fuck who he fucked from a moral standpoint but you people accuse, constantly, Bush of having lied yet you control Congress and you've yet to force him to face any type of testimony.

I don't understand what part of this bullshit you don't get. You keep resorting to the moral question of shoving a cubano up a fat skanks port hole, he fucking lied to you and me and he got spanked, hell I've done worse to skinny skanks but I am not the head of the "free world" and I brag about it.

I thought they were held to at least the same standard as us dumb one's, uhhhhh.
