Chargers AT Chiefs

Just got done reading an interesting stat concerning this Sunday's Blots/Chiefs tilt...from the Kansas City Star:

Chargers coach Norv Turner is 0-6 against the Chiefs, the San Diego Union-Tribune points out. He was 0-4 with Oakland and 0-1 with Washington and San Diego.

And Turner is trying to avoid joining the likes of Dennis Erickson (Seattle, 1995-98 ) who is the only coach ever to lose his first seven games against the Chiefs.

Hmmm....VERRAH interesting factoid indeed.

But it still won't matter....

Blots- 31
Chefs- 10

CIA, Norvelous.

...yea, after Norv's nomination as coach of the week last week, he's flying high. Despite Norv's record afainst the Chief's, I'll tab the Bolts in this one. Afterall, the Chiefs snapped err rolled over and let the Raiduhs off an 0-19 snide vs. the AFC last week, so streaks should not matter in this one.

Bolts...17
Chiefs.10

BTW..Have a great time in Canader Scotty.

It was only 0-17 v. the AFC West, Mike.

DON'T fuck with me!

huh?

That was so last week, froz.

As for the game, with Huard back under center we've got a good chance to keep Norv 0-fer.

Chefs 24
Blots 21

I predict that the Chargers will win. The score will depend on the weather, field, etc.

I'm not real excited about the 2 offensive geniuses matching up again. Here's hoping next year Norvilicious will be fired.

Not my best take, so here's something extra for ya'll.

Your left tackle should be pissing you off MORE- Jared Allen is making a turnstile out of him.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA.....Jared's also making the Blots' end zone his personal BITCH too.

What's there to say?

Lord have mercy, what a miserable week-end for my sports teams. There's absolutely no bright spot to be taken from this game today (other that TG). Couple of observations:

1. KC has quite possibly the worst O-line in the history of the NFL.

2. Rookie WR's from LSU (Dwayne "hands of stone" Bowe) obviously aren't used to playing in cold weather.

3. LT is still LT. Fucker.

4. I felt positively sorry for those hardy souls who braved that cold weather and wind to witness such a pathetic 2nd half effort. So much for that Arrowhead mystique in December.

5. I've still got a chance to "get over" in the JFFL this week CM, which is about the only thing I've got going for me as it relates to being a fan.

6. Props to the Chargers.

..oh no sweat, I've already chalked it up as a loss. Props to the Crusaders as I see my playoff hopes dashed...

1st year I can remember that we've lost to ALL of our division rivals at HOME....ah, the good ol' days when there USED to be an "Arrowhead Mystique".

That was on Thursday. Not part of MY weekend, tubby. But thanks for your concern.

I’m good with where the Packers sit. A damn sight better than where the Chefs are wallowing.

I'm not concerned at all, dipshit- I was just seeing where you were going with your earlier post (as if I DIDN'T already know).

Yes they did Paul, and come next Sunday THE STADIUM WILL BE FULL come rain, snow or shine, unlike Chief Fans the Bronco Fans are not fair weather!!!

Remember when you were the biggest fan of the “greatest show on turf”? Now you’re making a reputation for being the Patriots biggest fan. What gives?

That's BULLSHIT and you know it....we've seen PLENTY of times when MuleFan streamed out of Piled High at Ask Lesko Field (thanks, Truman) when they were getting run off the field. The BEATDOWN you took at the hands of the Blots earlier this season ring any bells? That sumbitch looked like a ghost town early in the 4th quarter.

CORRECTION: I was a Kurt Warner fan more than I was cheering for the Rams. He's still the greatest rags to riches success story in NFL history.
Now you’re making a reputation for being the Patriots biggest fan. What gives?
Nope, sorry- I want to see them run the table, make NFL history, and send those bitter fucking old 72 Dolphins away for good. That's the ONLY reason why I want them to go all the way without a loss.

You’re missing the point Paul. Like Washington and Green bay we show up year after year, game after game, sellout after sellout regardless of the weather or how the team is doing! There are only a few NFL franchises that can say that, Kansas City is not one of them, and never will be!
Have we left the stadium early during a blow out? Ahh… ya! What fan base hasn’t?
The last time Denver did not sellout a home game was during the strike season! When was the last time the Chiefs didn’t sellout? Was it last Sunday?

No, YOU'RE missing the point- I could care less if we sell out Arrowhead or not. In fact, I want our last home game (vs. Titans) to be blacked out AND I want to lose the rest of our games....THEN maybe Clark Hunt will do what needs to be done and blow up the coaching staff and the front office. This team has accepted mediocrity for FAR too long, and with $400 million in stadium improvements underway (which will be done in 2009) they might wanna ensure that they have a competitive product on the field. The Arrowhead makeover, while largely financed by the idiot taxpayers of Jackson County, will surely mean that ducat and parking costs will rise SIGNIFICANTLY, and we as a fan base won't be on board if the team is still shitty.
