Oklahoma and VT would have won two big ball games today.
Georgia is at #4
Kansas only has 1 loss
Hawaii would need to win tonight

WV finals drive has them at the pitts 33. White is running full speed into folks with a dislocated thumb

I wish there was a stipulation in the BCS that would require a team to win their conference in order to play for the National Title. As good as Georgia has played lately, they shouldn't be playing for the National Championship.

Who should?

Hawaii is the only undefeated team.

Who exactly deserves to play?

OSU hasnt played in almost a month and are now #1 in the country.

No one has shown me that they are deserving.

This is how I rank 'em if Oklahoma holds on and wins...

#1 Ohio State
#2 USC
#3 LSU
#4 Oklahoma
#5 Virginia Tech

Kansas and Georgia...enjoy your at-large invites to the BCS. No way does Kansas get another shot at the title considering they lost to Missouri and Oklahoma would have two wins over Missouri plus the conference championship. Georgia is a very good team right now but their loss to Tennessee and LSU beating Tennessee and winning the SEC eliminates them. Hawaii...come on. If the Sooners take down the Tigers...the projected Rose Bowl matchup going into this weekend slides up to the big game for the glass football.

Not many years scream for a playoff involving more than 4 teams but this year, I don't know how anyone can say #1 and #2 are going to be undisputed choices when every top team has shit the bed. You've got 5 quality conference champs plus a couple of strong at-large teams. There are more than 2 title contenders and it's almost unfair leave anyone out at this point.

They all have two losses shoalzie.

Why does one teams two losses look better than anothers?

Zero Head to Head
Abunch of two loss teams
A one loss Kansas
And a undefeated Hawaii.

Hawaii plays the weakest 1 A schedule, so we don't even have to go there. I think tonight is their only game with a BCS team.

Agree on the fact that there isn't many teams that are deserving.

USC beats an unranked team and jumps to #2, while the Sooners win the Big 12 vs. the #1 team on a neutral field and slips behind USC? Not buyin' it. I'd even rank VTech over USC.

This is the flaw to this system...you can make those arguments. There isn't a right answer for #1 and #2. The BCS sucks ass!

If everything stays the way it is in the OU-Missouri game, then I can see the Sooners moving up to #2 in the Coaches Poll. That should help them attain #2 in the BCS.

LSU's losses are better than USC's so I would put LSU AHEAD of USC just on that alone. Both games were triple overtime and neither to the league's doormat.

OSU vs UGA or LSU

You all will pretty much agree that the SEC is the toughest conference. A team from there should play.

If OSU gets the bulk of the 1st place votes that will most likely help UGA out since they should fall to number two.

This came up before....winning your conference.....I totally agree but they never added that clause. ANother tweak on the way? I'm sure.

UGA vs OSU - Why not? UGA's got a fast fast team.....I think they match up well with OSU.

Ohio State would be 1. Oklahoma would be at the top of the list of the other. Kansas' weak SOS would do them in. LSU will be in the mix too.

But anyone can come back and say, look at who the Sooners lost to.

It's a giant cluster fuck at this point...Missouri and West Virginia winning would've made things easier but they have/will shit the bed and ruined their chance at the big prize.

You can't put Georgia in over LSU...I'm putting my foot down on that. LSU lost twice in triple OT...it's like losing in penalty kicks. And they beat a team the Bulldogs couldn't beat. Georgia is dead in this discussion as is Kansas. There are only 5 teams that are options at this point...Ohio State, USC, LSU, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma. Have a friggin' lottery at this point.

VTech vs. LSU.

Won't happen, but would be the best matchup.

OU has a case as they're woodshedding #1.

I'd mention OSU but, out of sight, out of mind.

OSU beat one team in the current top 25
Oklahoma beat two teams in the current top 25
LSU beat four teams in the current top 25

Zero deserving teams. OSU is going for sure, we know that.

OU 35
Mizzou 17

Bye Bye Mizzou bandwagon fucks. go back to the NFL Board and copy-paste some more takes.

I can live with that but the only way the Hokies play in that game is against LSU because you can't let them in over the Tigers because of the game earlier this season.

Who hasn't beaten #1 this year?

Weak argument considering what we experienced last year...I consider them the leaders in the clubhouse because they survived the season with one loss.

Its the only fair thing to do in this system.

Anybody could argue differently.

But both entered #3 and #4, bumping one of them out would be retarded.....

A bunch of teams should have a shot, even Hawaii. I know they have a bs schedule but so does Kansas and OSU.

I'd give it to LSU over Georgia. UGA had two terrible losses - at home to a dogshit South Carolina team and they were rolled by Tennessee. They were never in the game. At least LSU's loss was by the slimmest of margins.

But that "when you lost"" will obviously come into play since the UGA-UT game was so long ago.

How the hell do you determine which 2 loss team gets in? Kansas and Hawaii are not deserving because of their weak NC schedule (and Hawaii's conference schedule), so how can you honestly determine who which 2 loss team belongs. This has to be the year where the presidents are cornered into making a change for next year.

Albeit, I think LSU or USC are the most deserving, but how can you overlook Georgia and Va Tech? This is tough.
