Taking this a little too far, just perhaps?

Jeepers creepers. Some fans need to get a goddamn life. If you're threatening a kid because your team of choice loses a game, then you need a looooong time out in an orange jumpsuit.

Judging by the fan base accused of this it doesn't surprise me one bit.

The thing is, though...the WVU fanbase is overall a very good one. MOST folks are not thugs like this. If anything, I have observed WV fans to be very passionate, but very classy and very loyal. I think that most programs have this fringe element. We all have our couch-burners.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was mostly done by their students. I agree with Rodriguez that the players should not have published telephone numbers in the student directory.

Shouldn't any student have the right to an unlisted phone number just like anyone else in this country?
Seems quite odd that WVU would be forcing all students to have their numbers listed. Never mind that I don't even understand why a college kid who travels every other weekend and has the time demands placed on him of a student athlete would even bother with a land line when a cell phone would make so much more sense.
That being said, the people doing that should be prosecuted and (if they are students) expelled from the University.

Yes, I do agree that any student should have the right to choose that.
I also agree that whomever did this should be prosecuted and expelled. There is no reason to do that whatsoever.

Authorities reported eight Dumpsters fires and four rubbish fires in what they described as less activity than expected -- closer even to a usual game night.
Usual game night there is fires in dumpaters? Seriously?

I guess WVU could have given Ohio State a run for their money in at least one category.

I don't know if this is still the case, but when I was a student at ND, everyone, including the football players, had residence addresses (most students lived on-campus, and scholarship football players were required to do so) and telephone numbers published in the student directory. No incidences even remotely close to this, though. At least none that I heard of. And that was during the Faust years.

I've seen my share of college slums...but Sunnyside in Morgantown is probably the trashiest. I think that most of the couch-burning happens there.
It happens in South Oakland (near Pitt) as well...and in State College, where there were ridiculous riots a few years back. I'm not sure what causes a college-aged kid to burn shit and riot...

I drank a bud two weeks ago for the first time in years...fucking AWFUL. All I could taste was the fucking RICE. They should be sued for placing the word "Bier" on their labels...
