when are the gun control nazis going to realize that "gun free zones" is the stupidest fukking idea ever.

this fukking whack job in colorado thought he'd walk into that church and take a little target practice, but, guess what? a parishoner was actually ready for his ass.

imagine that. regular non delusional folks packing just might be a good fukking idea.

there were a couple of dudes on the news this morning, one, a pro gun rights dude who pointed out how monumentally fukking stupid gun free zones are. the other dude spins it saying, well, she's a former cop which means we need to have more armed cops around. he also went to the worn out "assault weapon" card. maybe that whack job did have an assault weapon. bfd. i'm pretty sure that the chick that took him out did it with a handgun.

what a fukking idiot. you can't have armed cops everywhere. you can have armed or atleast potentially armed private citizens everywhere. too bad there weren't a handful of armed students on the VT campus. but, I am guite certain that that place was gun free. i am certain the families of the thirty some folks dead in the ground wish that it wasn't.

so, gun nazis, let's hear about how stats show that private citizens being armed just ends up in them getting themselves/others dead.

did you ever know of any teachers packing heat to school?

i not only think it should be allowed, i think there should be organized programs encouraging teachers to pack. they should receive training and be paid extra for doing so.

the bs we have at school now where I gotta go to the front door, ring the bell and have somebody from inside buzz me in is a fukking crock of shit.

let's say i am a fukking nut job. i will walk up, ring the bell and say, yeah, i'm here to drop something off for my kid. theyll buzz me, i walk into the office, cap everybody there. now, the cops gotta shoot there way in when they get there.

what a fukking joke. unfortunately, the sheeple think this stuff helps keep their kiddies safe.

Teachers packing ? Not to my knowledge. Back in my career days it wasn't really an issue. Anyone could have just walked into school. We actually had rifle target shooting teams and they had a range in the school cellar.
It would not have surprised me if the head principal and maybe a couple of the shop teachers had hand guns in their desk drawers.
I have two shot guns and a rifle at home. I'd like to get a hand gun and carry premit down here, but MrsO is uneasy about it and that's a price I'll have to pay.

Actually, that parishioner was a trained professional who volunteered for the church as a security guard. She was trained and licensed to carry concealed firearms.

She's about the worst example you could have possibly chosen. Quit embarrassing us Second Amendment fans.

My wife and I have our CHLs and my wife is a teacher. I agree that she shouldn't be allowed to carry the gun into her classroom, but I think its rediculous that she can't keep the gun in her secured and locked vehicle on the school grounds. She is a cheerleader sponsor (nice to see you again Goobs, MB, PSUFAN) and sometimes she is on the campus late. The girls have competition this upcoming weekend and my wife has been up there after 9 pm four out of the last six weekdays.

It worries me that a male student could be lurking on the campus and is looking to get some payback on his teacher. It would make me feel better if my wife could at least carry her handgun in her vehicle while on campus. That would make me feel a whole lot better if she is up there in the evenng hours.

I think he's worried that someone would assemble some Sherpa guides and make an ascent, eventually planting a flag and
claiming her as sovereign territory. It's all about the mining rights.

OK, she has formal training. So fukking what? My point is, she may have served in some capacity as a renta cop at the church, but, she is not a police officer. Atleast not in this case. She is basically just someone at the church who had a little something for some assbag intent on walking in and plunking defenseless unarmed folks. And if there was a whole lot more of this, just maybe there would be more happy endings to such stories.

This is counter to the gun nut crowd who live in a fairy tale world where there is no trouble because no one has access to guns. Guns are here. They are accessible. It is a fukking fact and the only defense is to allow average people to defend themselves pretty much where ever they feel the need to.

ZIG ZAG, Ore. (AP) - Two men are seriously injured this morning after being shot during what police call a "random encounter" as they drove home from a day of snowboarding.

According to police, the two were driving home from Government Camp last night, when another car began tailgating them.

The two men pulled over to let that car pass, but the other car stopped as well.

The two men got out of their car and confronted the tailgater, whom police say then pulled out a gun and shot them both.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, who was wearing a baseball cap.

Both men were taken to OHSU with serious wounds, one via helicopter.

Two nine-year-old boys were traveling with the victims; both were uninjured.

Just think, if they made the Mt Hood National Forest a Gun-Free Zone, this never would have happened.

But on the bright side, there's two more guys who are going to look into arming themselves in the future, and it will be two more Good Guys with the heat to help out their fellow man when some asswipe decides to get violent.

The guy was probably just protecting himself. He may have been following them to tell them that their taillights were out. The two asswipe showboarders prolly threatened to kick his ass. Two on one isn't very good odds and as far as he knew they were both packing. RACK the dude for standing up for his right to self-protection.

Exactly. Too bad there weren't a couple dozen other (untrained) armed vigilantes in the church. That might have been fun. A shot rings out, 40 or so people pull their pieces all at once and start shooting at the first armed person they see.

In that case, Darwin failed.

Because if you follow someone around the Mt Hood forest(or any of the may state/national forests) at night, then pull over when they do, you're pretty much begging to be ventilated(or be the focus of some satanists' human sacrifice, which used to be a big problem in that neck of the woods).

You make it sound as if it were just good fortune that she happened to be there at the time packing a weapon. In reality, the pastor, fearing trouble after the earlier incident in Arvada, had specifically requested and assigned armed security guards to be present, of which she was one.

I've asked Santa to give out more guns & ammo this year. Santa does what I ask, come to your own conclusion.

Remember to aim for center mass, don't try for the head shot like in the movies. Hopefully there will be a lot less of you two legged freaks next year. Happy hunting!

Funny that he didn't ask the Congregation to pack their own heat in Church.

That's exactly what he DID do you fucking simpleton.

She was a member of the congregation who has a conceled carry permit and part of the church's volunteer security team. There were also a half dozen other members of the congregation packing heat that day- also volunteer members of the church security team. Two of them also shot at the gunman, missed him & then took cover.

Where do tards get this idea that if one is wearing armor, that bullets just harmlessly bounce off and leave the person in the vest unscathed, to happily continue on their merry way discharging rounds?

Last I checked, kinetic energy was a function of mass and the square of velocity. Last I checked, the laws of physics weren't suddenly suspended because a person was wearing a vest. What the vest does do, is make for a much easier cleanup job after someone is shot.

Matter of fact, the literature that comes with a vest warns you not to expect to get up anytime soon after taking a large caliber handgun round, due to that pesky "mass times velocity squared" thing. And a square hit from a hand-cannon leaves one's innards with a bleak prognosis.

And that pesky "physics" thing renders a vest nearly useless against almost any type of rifle round.

While having one bounce off a vest is infinitely preferable to having one splatter your digestive tract against the far wall, it still presents a rather intimidating physics problem. The idea that vests are the end-all, be-all to incoming bullets is quite the misconception.

What a bunch of horseshit.

In "Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man" those kickass badguys wore those raincoats that bounced bullets left and right and they just kept on coming.

Actually, that crazy police shootout with the bankrobbers in Los Angeles (1997?) was a great example. Those dudes were decked with all that homemade chainmail shit, which was proving quite effective. It stopped all of those 125 grain 9MM rounds the cops were tossing around with such reckless abandon.

Then, the cops came up with a rifle, and that was pretty much all she wrote.

Moral of the story? Don't mess with the small caliber stuff.

small caliber is fine, so long as the round is reasonably long and got enough grains behin dit spinning it down a coupla feet of rifle barrel. A 30-06 is a fairly small caliber but it goes through vest quicker than mvscal through 100 posts.
