There is no way he can be taken seriously if he takes the WVU job. Likely a move for a reworked contract.

So ending the season on a 4 game losing skid warrants that these days?

I wonder if Saban's called Pryor yet.

*** UPDATE #1 *** This report has been confirmed by the staff at WVSports.com. Unfortunately, it is posted on their premium board so that confirmation can not be reprinted here. Still, it has been confirmed.

*** UPDATE #2 *** Well, it’s not a stone-cold confirmation, but our friend Mike Casazza can’t verify that the story isn’t true. Pardon the double negative, but it looks like this baby certainly has legs.

Stay tuned.

Ya, ok, :meds:

Plus, that's Saban's home state.

Fuck it. I don't even care any more.

Shula did a damn good job with Garrard this year...wonder if he's available?

Get Stallings to come back and we're set 'til the man dies. He'd like nothing better.

Wow, funny how time changes things. Dude was Bama's messiah at this time last year.

I never thought it was a good sign that Bama basically bought the guy. Ya it still looked like a good hire. But it did kind of smear things that he only came after Bama threw enormous $$$ at him.

Sucks for him his feeler to WV got out to national press. He almost needs to jump now. Bama-fan could start getting surly if he stays. The honeymoon is over, 2008 becomes a must-win situation.

Unless I missed it, there's not been a peep about this on ESPN or anywhere else.
After they told Herbie to go bump his gums about Les Miles, they've probably decided to play it safe from here.

If it is just an overblown rumor Saban better kill it quick.

True, that's why coaches have agents. Seems like if the agent didn't contact WVU, he'd at least come out and say so.
