First off I have to congratulate the Cowboys organization from owner down to parking attendant for pulling off one helluva season and division title. That is not a meaningless accomplishment since the NFC East isn't the worst division in the NFL (the best? I guess a case could be made for the AFC South.)

This last game doesn't have any immediate dire consequences in store for Dallas should the Cowboys lose except in case of injury.

Which is why I'm guessing Philips and Co. are going to call the dogs off rather early. Keeping the 'Skins out of the playoffs can't rank higher in their estimation than staying healthy for said playoffs.

In direct opposition to that approach will be the 'Skin's mindset: full bore attack mode til the game is won.

This all leads to a bit of a conundrum: How to run smack when one team will play like it's a dress rehearsal and the other is going to fight for its playoff life?

I guess I'll just have to throw out the reality of WHY the 'Boys will give up early and just focus on the the fact that they will, and bag on them for being fukkin' QUITTERS!

NO T.O., Romo or a few O linemen. All nicked and bruised defensive players: spectators. Some funnay was made over Rump's "gameplan hard" comment... well, in this case it wouldn't be too far a stretch to say Garrett is gonna go gameplan lite for this trip.

After the first meeting this year I was looking forward to this game. Now that Campbell is out as well as Dallas being banged up a bit this could be a better game then the first one.

They should be playing on more equal footing. Strength vs Strength. Skins running game Dallas rush defense.

I expect to see a bit more old school hard nose running from each team. It could look like a NFC East match up from the early 90's. Cowboys will continue to work on their running game and use that to set up the pass. Hopefully Glenn will get around 15 to 20 plays and show a spark to keep the Skins D honest. The keys to the passing game will be the tight ends for both teams.

I think even with "resting" a few players the Cowboys will once again make the Skins their bitches...

Outcome aside, the first game was really good. Unless one is a fan of the winning team and yet has a hissy fit if his team doesn't win by 30.

Agreed on most of that. Glenn needs some game action live fire but I'd question putting Witten in for very long.

But anyway, should Dallas win this one with its bench that would mean this game will operate as legit fuel for DallasFan BODE claimants for years to come. Good GOD and G0D I hope that doesn't happen. The all time series numbers are bad enough as it is.

Next game notwithstanding, y'all have to reckon this regular season as one of your best.
I mean beyond the obvious like wins, stats etc. In the '90's this was kind of expected. Understandable. Who but a myopic retard would expect this in '07? With a new coaching regime? Romo's development... wow it just seems absurd typing that phrase. #9 plays like he's a long time successful vet.

I wouldn't discount the importance of getting some timing between Glenn and Romo back. With Owens on the Shelf "week-by-week" it's going to be important to get a receiver who can draw the double team. Crayton, Hurd, and Austin are all fine #3's. But not much more. Crayton has done a superlative job stepping up for Glenn this year, but he's not going to draw the double team. I think you'll see the Cowboys come out with a full slate of players and aggressively go after the Skins.

Garrett WILL gameplan hard for this one. I think they'll look to put away the skins in the 1st half and then start sitting folks. The outcome of the game means this team could hold the Cowboys record for single season wins. Not sure if that is enough to motivate the players and coaching staff, But I know Jerrah would like to get into that rarefied air, and prove he can put together a winning team without Jimmy Johnson. Yeah, I know Parcells is the architect of this one, but don't tell that to Jerry.

Look the fact is that the Cowboy fans I've run across in all the years of SCIII/TNW/SMackboard football talk are at least solid posters if not really good or epic. Quite a contrast to all the bandwagon fukks I've met over the years especially before I got on the internwebs. Really, when talking football with any given of the fellas in person over time I've never had some fukked up high ideal of what I think other NFL fans should know

Get real. As potent as your offense has been, let's not forget that whole "Slow Start" unfolding of the offense most of the season. You're not putting anyone away early or at all. Garrett isn't going to have his full crew going full speed all game so I don't believe he'll give these guys a full slate.

Ok, that regular season wins team record isn't small potatoes. For a lot of teams. Sure. But in terms of Cowboys history? Bwa!
