Belichick?
Phillips?
McCarthy?
Crennel
Gibbs?
Gruden?
Dungy?
Tomlin?
Del Rio?
Norv?
Fisher?
Coughlin?
Holmgren?
Someone else?
Belichick should get it, but a busted cheater won't get my vote.
McCarthy is my choice.

I wouldn't argue if Jeff Fisher, John Gruden or Mike McCarthy got it. Belichick won't get it because the writers never give it to a guy who's team was already loaded, even if they do go undefeated.

I stated last spring that anything less than a Super Bowl victory would mean a disappointing season. I guess I was expecting right around 14-2 and a 1st round bye. So, we're 16-0 now… great. A little better than expected.
I'd give it to McCarthy, hands down. Green Bay has made the biggest jump from what I was expecting and where they finished.
If there was a '2nd half of the season' award, I'd give it Gibbs, Buffalo T.O. debacle notwithstanding

Another vote for McCarthy. Most around here were looking for 8-8.
Somebody else post now so that poptart is able to open his own thread.

Crennel gets my vote. They benched Frye and traded him after the first game. Everything pointed toward another bad season for Shitstain fans to endure, but Crennell silenced the critics. 10-6 with a team who looked to go 4-12 in that division is pretty darned good.

I'd go with Bum's son, despite the fact that I dislike the Cowboys.
As I seem to recall, when his hiring was announced, there was a hell of a lot of laughing at Cowboy Fan (by pundits and by folks on this board), predicting that Phillips would tank and take the team with him. If anybody shocked the hell out of the NFL fans, I'd say it was him.
Most Bills fans thought that Phillips got a raw deal and hoped that the guy would get another shot someplace else. As much as I don't dig Dallas, I'm happy that Wade is doing well and getting some positive press.

Agree. Who would believe the Browns would finish 10-6?

Crennel, McCarthy, Coughlin all were listed as hot seaters prior to the season.
Of those, GB and Cleveland had the least to work with in terms of talent.
I gotta give it to McCarthy for pulling a two seed out of the disaster that was '06

I'm leaning towards Del Rio...He brought a 500. team in 06, to 11-5 this year. He apparently revived Freddy Taylor to a very good year, and got David Garrad to finally perform at higher level. This while the # 2 defense from 06 slipped to around 12th. this year.

Bill Belichick, love him or hate him his team is 16-0 in regular season. No one has ever done that before.

Bill Belichick named AP Coach of Year
With the Patriots motivated by a spying scandal -- and owning the deepest talent base in football -- Belichick guided his team to the first 16-0 regular season in league history.
That was enough to offset the major blemish on Belichick's resume: a $500,000 personal fine, $250,000 fine for the team and the loss of a first-round pick in the upcoming draft after the Patriots were caught videotaping New York Jets coaches during the season opener.
Spygate didn't stop 29 of the 50 voters on a nationwide panel of media members who cover the NFL from voting for Belichick on Thursday. In a season highlighted by many strong coaching performances, Belichick beat out Green Bay's Mike McCarthy, who received 15 votes for leading the Packers to a 13-3 record and the NFC North title.
16-0 how could it go to anyone else?

Love him or hate him, Belichick is the best coach in the league, and has been for years.

Belichick didn't do anything that every other head coach in the NFL isn't doing as well. Get the fuck over it already- it's tired and it's WELL played. The Pats proved that they didn't need any additional video taping of opposing coaches to go 16-0, did they not?

So says the bandwaggonier that believes Bruschi didn't juice himself so full shit that he nearly died a few years ago.
So the shit troll is a Pats fan? Near as I could tell he has yet to state his favorite team.
