Brutal showing in New Mexico at the Hold'em Tables

I bought in for $200 at a $1 $2 No Limit table. After five hands, I had $400 in chips. I stayed around the $400 range for the next hour going up and down. Then, in the big blind, I was dealt pocket 7s. I raised $12 pre-flop and had 3 callers. Flop comes 3d-7h-3c. I've got the nut boat. Small blind bets $5, so I am thinking he has pocket Ks or As. I smooth call. The other two players call. Turn comes up 10d. Small blind bets $40 quick, I come over the top for $80 and he moves all in with $290 more. I call. I flips over pocket 3s. JFC. I'm out.

Next night, I buy back in at the same table. I caught nothing the entire night. Lost $200 in four hours without catching more than two hand the entire time.

Third night, I play 3 card poker and caught a striaght flush after about 10 hands. I had $10 on pair plus and was paid 40/1. Nice little $400 bounce back there. I'm about even for the trip.

Fourth night, Mrs. Rumps and I go back to the poler room. She is up big after about 10 hands. She had two all ins and immediately is up to $600 in chips. I teeter around $200 for about 3 hours. I finally get up to about $350. After that, I get pocket Qs and bet $25; I get one caller. Flop comes 4-7-10 rainbow. Dude goes all in for $55; I call and he has pocket 10s. I am back down to $270 and on the very next hand, I am dealt pocket As. I slow play to the blind. Flop comes A-7-10 rainbow. I check. 3 others check. Turn comes K. Chick bets $30, I go all in, she calls. She has broadway. I fucking lose again. I played the Aces badly.

I get up just fuming and immediately take two green chips ($25) that were in my pocket to the roulette table and I see 0/00 had not hit in a while, so I put both $25 chips on the single and double 0. Single 0 hits and I win $850. I went and told the wife I wanted to leave. She cashes out $600 after buying in for $160 and I cahse out for $900. Fucking weird and wild night at the Casino.

After losing money to the grind of hold'em and win over $1200 on a straight flush in 3 card and a $25 bet on 0 at the wheel. Rediculous. Pure luck.

I never slow play big pairs (JJ and up)...I am either shoving or making a big raise...


Played a ton online last weekend OL and kids were out of town...FUCK ME running...playing $20 Multi SNG's (2-5 tables)...guys were playing them like they were $5 SNG's...one hand...I have A/6 of clubs...flop comes 7/8/4 all clubs flop the nut flush. I had two people in the pot (2nd hand of the SNG so blinds were 15/30) so there was 135 in the pot as the SB folded and the BB stuck around...I bet out like 100 or so...fold, fold, one caller...turn 10...I bet out about 300 I think...guy calls...river 10...he shoves...I call...he flips over 10/7 so he called 2 streets of pot size or more bets first with bottom pair, then with two pair hoping the board would pair his 10 or 7...fucking idiot...had so many bad beats online..I removed all software and will not go back for a LONG time...

Played live the other night in a 60 Buy in 1 rebuy, 1 add on...had a donkey repop me on a King high board with K/10...I was holding King/Jack and had a great read...I bet he comes over the top I call...he tables K/10...I table K/J...of course 10 on turn...FUCK ME...

anyway long story short...ran out to a deece chip lead after break...then went card dead and finished 4th...

I will be at the Beau Rivage for 3 days while heading over to NO for the MNC game...will post poker results when I get back...

I stopped playing online about 9 months ago after a streak of bad beats that would make Jesus Fergusen off himself. I think I am a deece player and vowed to play a lot more in '08. Mrs Rumps and I were playing in friendly $20 buy in tourney style games with a bunch of our friends, but we all know each other too well. Its getting old.

I started playing in a $50 game twice a month at the local country club located in the men's locker room. I finished in the money 4 out of 8 times, so I will be headed back to that game every month this year and I alos think I will be going to another game played at a warehouse behind my cousin's house. Its usually 50-60 players strong with a $40 buy in. If you lose the tourney, the cash games get lucrative. If you run out of cash, you can make a killing dealing out the games. I'm going to start a log to see how much I win or lose for '08. Should be fun.

played some cards with the boys last night. dealears choice , but we mostly played hold em. i was not doing well early but eventually started getting decent cards. long story short-end of the night all of the chips were in front of me. last hand we played five card draw. dealer draws one card, next guy stands pat- as do i. its three in the morning and we're all trashed and ready to just end it, so dealer ends up with two pair (kings/queens) next guy has straight (7 high) and i had a small straight as well, but mine was 9 high. i actually felt bad. it wasnt a huge score but 80 bucks is alot of nattiy light .

then i won 100 bucks on a scratch ticket this morning. i might not work for a month.
