That shouldn't be a huge surprise to anyone at this point, of course. But wasn't it mvscal who said, essentially, that the race was as good as over if Thompson entered it? Now he may drop out and endorse, of all people, McCain.

Why did he even join to begin with? He is very lackluster especially with all the hype surrounding whether he would enter or not..
