Anyone else? This is such a wacky year that a plus 1 wouldn't solve anything. At least 5 teams could argue that they deserve a shot at the title. Can we get a playoff in this bitch please?

A plus 1 would just be more bullshit.

I could already tell you it would be USC vs. the BCS championship winner. Not saying they deserve it over Georgia, KU, or WV but that is how the cocksuckers would vote.

We've discussed this before Steve, but I still think the best feasible solution is to go with the 8-team format that automatically includes the six BCS conference champions plus two at-larges.

Yes I realize that playoff formats have been suggested in here on numerous occasions. Being that the plus 1 is the most likely thing to become a reality, I was merely pointing out that in this wacky year a plus one would only serve to add to the chaos.

Agree 100%. Georgia, WVU, USC and LSU/Ohio State winner would certainly have good cases for playing in the plus 1 game.

That is exactly my point. "Experts" are saying that we are closer to a plus 1 system. This year would serve to fuck even that up. If there is anyone in here that thinks the BCS works, step up and be counted. The shame to me is that the BCS came into existance because there was controversy over split titles.....the BCS has done nothing to correct that particular situation. I'm not necessarily a playoff honk, I'd be for returning the bowls to their previous affiliations. That would bring back the integrity of many of the non MNC bowl games. There is nothing worse than playing for all these weeks and having no real champion, no matter who wins monday the debate will rage on.
