I know you have a rich reputation of spamming boards, claiming melt, and being banned. That being said, I got no problem with you. But if you must open your cock garage, at least have your shit together. It's what makes our cfb forum the best, and the reason why you've come crawling back in here.

What shit could Miles possibly have on UM? The name shutyomouth could not more aptly apply.

Thing is - ALL fucking universities do this shit. EVERY GOD DAMNED ONE OF THEM do it. Always have. Always will. Some a lot more than others (sup, USC). I'm sure Miles and Co. could blow the whistle on UM and fuck them up just as much if they wanted to.

must be talking about south carolina, even all the rumors about Bush have nothing to do with USC, its Boosters or the staffs recruiting practices.

funny a fan of a school where the whole football team suddenly becomes rhodes scholars from classes that none of them took and from teachers who never even saw them on the role list would say anything about a dirty program. carnell williams cant even spell sociology

The level of head-in-the-sandedness from USC fan is adding extra humor to the whole Bush situation. That whole "institutional control" clause just flies right over their heads.

It would be funny if anything were to happen to USC, but since they're the NCAA's #1 cash cow right now, I won't hold my breath waiting for the hammer to drop.

They seem to have the same free pass that Tennessee has. Then again, I'm a fan of the Richest Team in the Universe, and the guy running the NCAA is "our guy"... which is probably why U of O and tOSU's names never seem to come up... and I'm guessing Indiana could probably start handing recruits big cardboard checks on national television after signing a LoI and nothing would happen to them... just a guess.

Way back when, 20 years ago, I guess, one of my buddies sat next to Gary Payton in a class at Oregon State. He said up until then, he'd never met a short Asian chick named Gary Payton before. Apparently, he looks a lot more masculine, tall, and dark on television than in real-life.

Steve,

Miles did play and coach there.

I seriously doubt any school could go thru a thorough investigation without something turning up.

USC, Tennessee and a couple others, however, seem to have carte blanch to do as they want and suffer no repercussions.

That McKnight recruiting problem all cleared up, SoCalTrjn? It may be...just asking.
Yeah I know Miles' pedigree. But it was all so long ago, under different regimes. There is a statute of limitations on this type of thing eh?

There are no sour grapes on the UM side where it comes to Miles. He was never officially offered the job. Martin was respecting LSU's request to wait until after the CCG to speak with Miles, and LSU inked him during the waiting period. Many around the program didn't want Miles, I think now that the school was courting him to appease the boosters, alumns, and the like. For whatever reason, the major players in the coaching search didn't seem sold on Miles. Either way, Miles is happy, UM nation is happy, all is well that ends well.

Shit happens.

My bestest oldest like-a-brother-to-me buddy even did a term or two there.

I'll even admit to having been to a few games at High School Stadium. Usually a good time, if you can get past the ultra-agressive fans.

Funny thing is, Oregon and OS get all the run, yet just about every Oregonian (real ones, not transplant-come-latelies) I know with a degree got it from the biggest school in the state, Portland State.

My friend-of-Gary-Payton's-who-only-met-the-guy-once-or-twice still gets sheepfucker-smack to this day.

What McKnight recruiting problem? the one that LSU tried to make up when Joe said he was going to go to USC

So you rip on a kid for lack of spelling and look at your spelling. It's roll you tool. I'm sure Chauncey Washington doesn't fall into that category. Let's see. 2 years of academic trouble, then all of a sudden he's some sort of fucking genius. I'm sure $UC never had anyone else that fit into that category. Granted they just had two Rhodes Scholars dumped because of poor grades. Oh wait, where did they matriculate for their high school years? Oh.....Poly. They were probably part of the PAAL program just like Winston Justice, Darnell Bing, Herschel Dennis, Manuel Wright etc......

I never claimed to be an honor student in spelling and none of those Trojan players were ever listed as a scholar athlete from classes they never attended

The Auburn football team's performance in the N.C.A.A.'s new rankings of student athletes' academic progress surprised many educators on and off campus. The team had the highest ranking of any Division I-A public university among college football's six major conferences. Over all among Division I-A football programs, Auburn trailed only Stanford, Navy and Boston College and finished just ahead of Duke.

Among those caught off guard by Auburn's performance was Gordon Gee, the chancellor of Vanderbilt, a fellow university in the Southeastern Conference and the only private institution. Vanderbilt had an 88 percent graduation rate in 2004, compared with Auburn's 48 percent, yet finished well behind Auburn in the new N.C.A.A. rankings.

"It was a little surprising because our graduation rates are so much higher," Mr. Gee said. "I'm not quite certain I understood that."
What the hell were they thinking? theyre going to go from a school that graduates less than half their players to suddenly the 4th best academic program in the nation

pointing out the fact that a team suddenly all recieving honor grades from classes they never went to is a much larger example of lack of institutuional control than a player allegedly using an agents, who is not connected to the school in anyway, credit card for a hotel room
