Go Golden Bulls. ;)
Not to side track the thread or anything but do any of the other Sooners or Mucho know how Lee Roy is doing with his bout with cancer?

I think you may be referring to his heart condition, which forced him to resign as our AD a few years ago. He is still working here and is the head of major gift development. He is doing quite well. Without a doubt, he is one of the best people I have ever met.

Very much looking forward to this. :D .
I knew this game was in the works, but I didn't think we'd land it so soon.

That got Bama in a lot of trouble.
Good to hear that Selmon is doing well. Always liked him.
I don't think we'd have to worry about Lee Roy doing things unethically.

The pace at which South Florida has been "put on the map" is remarkable, even moreso when you consider the "competition" in football in the region.
Should be used as a model for all up-and-coming programs to use as an outline.

Yep. And this should fall under "thrash former football power" to put them on the next level.

So, that makes USF, FSU and Miami the latest big time Florida schools to leave the state for a non-conference road game. I wonder who could be missing? Props to USF building the Program the right way.

And who was predicting a quick resurgence for the Big East after USF joined contrary to almost every other poster in this forum?
Recruiting in Florida isn't "competition" for an in state school in a BCS conference. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. There's THAT many good players in the state. Even out of state schools like Syracuse have found been able to recruit solid players out of the crumbs Miami, Florida and FSU have left behind.

ND had made a commitment to playing all Big East schools over the upcoming years beginning in 2010. However, only Pitt and Rutgers would be permanent games; the others were going to get either a home-and-home or a one-off.
I'm looking forward to this as well. In fact, I'll go one step further: if we drop Stanford from our schedule (current series is set to end in 2010 and hasn't yet been extended, and there are rumblings that it won't be), I would like to see us put USF on the schedule as USC's "opposite number." It would guarantee us a warm-weather site for Thanksgiving Weekend every year, and it would be sort of a "back to the future" move, in that Miami occupied this spot on the schedule prior to Stanford. Throw in the fact that USF is an up-and-coming program in a conference whose future viability is tied in with ND's best interests, and that only makes the argument stronger. Not that I expect it to happen, but I can make the pitch, can't I?

From what I have heard this game is not part of the Big East deal.
I have also heard that there are no plan for ND to play USF in FL. ND's game in Orlando will not be against USF.

I've heard that game is against Duke. The barnstorming idea could have been a great idea, but not in the hands of Kevin White. He's really screwing the pooch on it.
Playing Washington State in San Antonio out front told me so.
