Which story is the one about how McCain has refused to ever again speak to the fellow prisonr who saved him from death & nursed him back to health because the guy accepted an early release?

Cuda, you'll have to explain that one to me. Not familiar with that allegation.

I think it actually had to do with a love triangle.

I didn't see that as particularly harsh on McCain's part. That's nowhere near damning. Harsh words, yes. A smoking gun? No.

I don't particularly like McCain and might not vote for him in November. However, this is not a swift-boating.

If by 'swift-boating' you mean telling the truth about a candidate's past, then it absolutely is.

That would be a rather novel definition of that particular term. http://www.factcheck.org/republican-fun ... ecord.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Annenberg Foundation?

Oh, please...

Couldn't you find somebody with even less credibility?

Who funds them anyhow, Soros? ...or do they still get their checks direct from the DNC?

You could have found this yourself, if you're interested. But since you asked . . .

We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit, "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding.

The Annenberg Political Fact Check is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. The APPC was established by publisher and philanthropist Walter Annenberg in 1994 to create a community of scholars within the University of Pennsylvania that would address public policy issues at the local, state, and federal levels.

The APPC accepts NO funding from business corporations, labor unions, political parties, lobbying organizations or individuals. It is funded primarily by the Annenberg Foundation.
Of course, they're not in the pocket of your boy W, so I can see where you'd find them somehow less than credible.

On top of all that Mikey just posted, it should be noted that Walter Annenberg was a Nixon political appointee.

Which means he was obviously a communist. :meds:

You're aware Nixon was a liberal, not a conservative, aren't you, Monica?

Annenberg wasn't any more of a conservative than fellow Nixon appointee, Warren Burger, was- and all "nonpartisan" means is that they don't admit their partisanship. Their actual record, however, reveals this as a lie.

And I don't know a soul who's not been battered
I don't have a friend who feels at ease
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered
or driven to its knees
but it's alright, it's alright
for we lived so well so long
Still, when I think of the
road we're traveling on
I wonder what's gone wrong
I can't help it, I wonder what has gone wrong

And I dreamed I was dying
I dreamed that my soul rose unexpectedly
And looking back down at me
Smiled reassuringly
And I dreamed I was flying
And high up above my eyes could clearly see
The Statue of Liberty
Sailing away to sea
And I dreamed I was flying

We come on the ship they call the Mayflower
We come on the ship that sailed the moon
We come in the age's most uncertain hours
and sing an American tune
Oh, and it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
You can't be forever blessed
Still, tomorrow's going to be another working day
And I'm trying to get some rest
That's all I'm trying to get some rest
