NU recieved commitments from two guys from Hoover at Vistavia HIlls, Birmingham. Both are mentioned glowingly in this article.
Mason Wald and Justin Rogers

Wald was a first team All-State player his Jr. year, as far as I know in the largest? class. His senior year as well I believe, however I don't have a listing.

Rogers runs for 4200+ yrds and 60TD's in 2 seasons. Whereas I here he has qualifing issues, he looks pretty fair running the ball, but will probably play CB at NU, if he makes it.http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml ... ID=1383412" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wald however has film that will make you think you are watching Larry Wilson, ( The old St. Louis (football; safety) Cardinal from our era. Remember?) This kid runs through people with a damn attitude. The thing is...why ONLY AN OFFER FROM SAMFORD...?WTF...? character issues I'm hearing...? (save the shit Big 12 suckas)
KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE GUYS? Thanks if ya do.

That question came-up at the recruiting-lunch I went to. The thought was that with several guys on the team garnering attention and him not looking like your model safety(cracker under 6') he kinda fell through the cracks. The only reason we got into him was that teammate Justin Rogers swore by him being a player. The coaches then got his film(kid is freaking hitter), talked to him, and agreed with Rogers. When a wr-recruit opted to go to Miami it opened a slot for Wald.
