chocolat is in the running for the "movie with the lamest, most inconsistent and variously straight-up, poorly done really really bad accents" competition.

Alfred Molina, Johnny Depp, Juilette Binoche, and Carrie-Ann Moss (in theory) all affecting the same French accent from the same small French town (in English). right-O.

in addition to just being a bad film made for baby boomers who only go to theatres where you can get a cappuccino circa 2000 once Disney discovered that there were suckers among the "educated", generally sexually repressed, somewhat wealthy or working at Barnes and Noble demographic. and then they invented Miramax to cater to them. and made films like Chocolat.

there's also a film with Isabelle Huppert that has something to do with Chocolat in the title, but can't remember.

i didnt actually watch the movie. i saw it on the guide and thought of bace and vic having faggy indie movie talk. i was totally watching gladiator at the time.

bbq, if you want to see a better film with Juliette Binoche, get Damage.

Faggy indie movie. Stop the hate q. You would do well to watch a few of the films I've referenced. Maybe being a little more cultured will help you with Piggy.
