Dropping dead weight sounds sweet, and it tends to please the fans.

But what will really please the fans is filling those spots with players who can actually ....... ball.

Good ruck.

As long as Herm is running that team, they are going to be shit. It makes no difference who they have on the field. Sorry Queef fan, your screwed with Herm.

Well, we're gonna find out in the next few months whether the current coaching staff and the front office has what it takes to make that happen. My confidence in them to do so is NIL.

No arguments from me there, DF. Preaching to the choir.

On a positive note, they DID lock up their punter for the next 5 years.... :oops:

OK, from where I'm sitting the latest free agent signing for the Chiefs doesn't exactly give me that funny feeling down there: http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/2008/03/11 ... d_darling/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Devard Darling??? That's just PEACHY King Carl....you declined to resign Samie Parker, yet bring in for all practical purposes Samie's CLONE???? Hell, if I see this motherfucker celebrate ala Chad Johnson after making a routine 1st down catch (sup' Samie) I'm gonna heave something solid and heavy through my TV. With D.J. Hackett and Bryant Johnson out there this career pine-rider was the best they could do? :brad:

I'm not going to sit here and disagree with you about the 6-10 prediction, but frankly we ChiefFans don't know enough yet about CH to make that determination. We DO know that he is on record saying that he expects VERY positive results in the '08 season. That clearly remains to be seen.

Paul,

When you said Law was a huge lift to your team/defense last year and I said he was ancient and not worth a shit, you mocked me. Why the change of tune on Law? Because he's no longer a Chief?

And you weren't the only one who gave me shit for calling him an old man who can't work the secondary. However, you're the only ChiefFan saying he's trash now that he's gone.

It's ok if you did a 180 on the guy as long as you admit it.

I have no problem whatsoever admitting that I was wrong about Ty Law.

That was easy, wasn't it?

It should be easy. For some around here, admitting they were wrong is worse than admitting they used to like to fellate pussy.

Other than Jared Allen/Tony Gonzalez/Larry Johnson/Dwayne Bowe, the rest of that team is a question mark to me. 4-12 will do that to you.

Realistically, you might place Johnson on the list too, IMO.

Missed 8 games and only ran for 3.5 per carry.
Garbage O-line though, in his defense.
But he needs to bounce back in '08.
Something to prove.

T. Gonz was great again last year.
Age (31) might begin to be a factor, however.

Bowe played very well for a rook.
I'd expect him to look even better if the QB dilemma can be solved.

Allen = Beast

What can you tell me about Keyaron Fox?

Agreed- IF the offensive line gets fixed adequately LJ has NO excuse to run wild again.

As if he needed to, Dude has become a vegan and has rededicated himself to the weight room. Tony G. knows what it takes to stay on top of his game. If 50% of the rest of the team had his work ethic the results on the field would be VERY positive.

You're preaching to the choir.

After what looks to be a very nasty contract standoff with King Carl, one wonders if he'll bring the pain as furiously after he gets paid LARGE as he did before.

Solid, above average special teams player....promising young LB that might've started a couple of years ago if not for a bad knee injury.

I'm pretty sure he will. He doesn't seem the type to let contract squabbles effect his play. You better hope so anyway. He is by far your best player.
Agreed, but I was saying that based on what Jevon Kearse and Dwight Freeney did after they got paid large dinero....which was close to nothing.

TitanFan here is hoping Kearse reverts back to The Freak.

Semi-ColtFan here thinks Freeney is still the shit, but his success has caused him to be double and triple teamed at times. Hard to still put up the same numbers with that going on.
