Greco Roman is quite similar to Judo, but different. There's not as much variation in the throws as Judo.
Either one places the emphasis on taking control of the balance, and aims to plant the opponent on the floor with a resounding "thud." And a person skilled in either is a force to be reckoned with.
All well and good to try and look cool in a streetfight, but people truly enderestimate the fight-stopping ability of planting someone into the ground. A person who isn't well-trained and practiced to take those kind of falls just ain't getting up any time soon.
Judoguy (known as a Judoka) does as well as expected dispersing the energy from the throw. It's a physics thing. Brutal throw, though -- Greco-Roman guys will do that to you. Judo guys will, too.

Yoshida is the second Judo gold medalist to lose to Barnett (Poland's Pawel Nastula is the other). Barnett call his style "catch wrestling." As a 47-year-old with bad knees, I find his leg submissions painful to watch.

In all fairness, Barnett is a way bigger guy than Yoshida. I know that their listed weight difference is 30 pounds but come on.
Yoshida is a bad mofo though. He won't shy away from a tough challenge. That beating that Cro Cop gave him was just brutal.
