Scotland Yard has jurisdiction in Nigeria?

I think B is saying the Nigerians perpetrating this fraud are Nigerians living in England. Since they are in England, Scotland Yard can nab them.

I think he was talking about the 419eaters being in the UK, not the scammers. 60 Minutes or 20/20 or some such show did a segment on the scammers recently and they were all in Nigeria.

Probably right then. Maybe he was suggesting that contacting Scotland Yard would escalate the issue to InterPol, and ultimately Austin Powers who has jurdisdiction all over the world.

The reality of the situation is that numerous Nigerian government officials are also benefiting from the scams. Good luck with that law enforcement angle.

Or they could do their own stings on these guys. These scammers have been known to leave Nigeria to fleece people.

My ISP changed my e-mail addy a while back; and one of the positive consequences was an end to such e-mail spam--
like when you move and you don't get junk mail or annoying phone calls. I'll see how long it takes for it all to catch up to me.

One of the Englishsters was using a Jim Rome soundboard to scam the scammer -- funny as hell:

Rome: Let me start by getting your name.
Nigerian: This is Victor Adams.
Rome: Whooa, easy there big fella. Let me start by getting your name.
Nigerian: THIS IS VICTOR ADAMS!
