And those are just the ones I have personally seen. IMO, not a dud on the list. I hardly think that the death on any actor rates as "the death of art itself". The private citizen can have guns, but if they use them, they could die or be jailed for attempting to defend themselves.

The gang members have guns, and they use them at will, with no regard for human life, with the only consequence being that if they get caught, they get three meals and a cot at the expense of the taxpayer.

The problem may not be directly the weapons themselves, but the weapons themselves are certainly a big part of the overall problem.

Heston had a couple of good roles but was overrated in general. Too bad he got himself tangled up with the gun crazies in his later years because I feel it tarnished his legacy. Some people just can't see the forest through the trees. Guns kill and we just don't need them. Look around the world and you'll see other countries without guns having much less killing going on than America does. And America is supposed to be some sort of superpower? Sorry. Not when you can't even keep your own citizens from blowing each other away. It's sickening.
