Anything that is going to be based on rankings is going to perpetuate pussyness.
6 home games, 6 road games and an OOC schedule vs teams that actually have a shot to win. Then maybe a plus 1 or a BCS will matter
You Cockstains cant call someone a pussy and then schedule a slate of home games vs western kentucky, tulane, western illinois, arkansas state, louisiana monroe, wofford, north texas, tulsa, southern miss, middle tennessee, georgia southern, central michigan, samford, akron, southern louisiana and the citadel.

I don't see why they couldn't do a simple plus-one format where the top two in the BCS after the bowls face-off.

145 years ago fourteen thousand southerners left home to do battle in Pensylvania. An hour and a half in to the battle, ten thousand of those southerners were dead, injured or captured. The cowardly offspring of those gray coated soldiers have been too chickenshit to play a game on the road ever since.

a plus 1 is fine as long as the only schools eligible are those who played 6 road games in the regular season

I can see why all too clearly, unfortunately. They (they personally, that is) are quite happy with things as they are, because they personally are in favorable positions to benefit financially from the current arrangement.

I've been saying this for years: if anyone thinks these pigs will be pried away from the trough easily or willingly, they are quite mistaken.

I'm just wondering why Kevin White was ivited to this meeting and not the other independent coaches.

because the new +1 format will feature the BCS winner and Notre Dame (provided Notre Dame wins 7 games).

If ND wins 9 or more games, the BCS champion will have to play blindfolded, require 3 downs to convert 10 yards on offense, and only receive 4 points for a touchdown with no option for a PAT. and Notre Dame will receive 3 "do-overs".

I know they are protecting their interests, but I just think they could do that and give us something other than the same ol' bowl system.

Three words: Sixteen. Team. Playoff.

That's enough teams to alleviate any biases/unintentional errors in any ranking system.

And it's still a smaller percentage of teams advancing to the playoff than in any other major spectator sport in the U.S.

Most Pac 10 teams are weaker than the teams you mentioned. Shit, most years Georgia Southern would finish 2nd or 3rd in the Pac 10.

Is SoCal a dumbass? Sure. But temper your SECBSH bias for a second and dial down the absurdities here.

Are you talking about the same Pac 10 in which every team has won at least a share of the conference title since 1990? When was the last time Kentucky or Ole Miss or MSU or Vandy won a conference title in football anyway?

I'm no Pac 10 apologist, but you SEC fans are pretty fucking hilarious sometimes...

16 teams in a playoff is too many. Give me the current BCS system over 16 teams.

Keep the bowls and have a four team playoff. If you really want a bigger playoff go to 6 teams with the top two having byes. Forget 8 or 16, those teams don't deserve a shot at a title in 90% of the seasons.

Oh wow, more homo smack...what's next...priests molest little boys?
Wow 58 points.....The tables will turn soon enough, however your little streak vs. ND still doesn't equal 13 in a row, nor does the amount of thugs on court dockets equate with those at ND...oh wait, there aren't any at ND.

Homo smack? You have one QB grabbing cocks on a golf course and then dressing up like a village person and the next QB posing in speedos with all of his buddies, I didnt mention either of those.

It was 11 in a row not 13, only one of those losses was by as many as 30 points and the total point differential of those 11 games was 134 points. USC has won 6 in a row 4 of which by more than 30 points and through those 6 games the differential in points has been 154. The gap is getting farther, maybe Cheesesteak will get someone to video tape all of his opponents practices so he can game plan for them this year, that way he and granny clausen will win more than 4 games

Leave it to schmuck to go to the stat card for bode as opposed to the actual scobode. I'll take 13 wins in a row by a margin of victory grand total of 13 points over 6 wins in a row by a total of 2000 points.

Who was it here that tried to claim bode based on stats as opposed to the scoreboard? Was it jon? Something like, yeah, the they scored 24 and we scored 21 but we had more first downs, more total yards, more yards per carry, better completion percentage and fewer turnovers. Yeah, we dominated them.

sc reminded me. it was m2 who claimed bode with stats instead of scoreboard.

I'll have to remember that line of thinking when we play Texas this year. Well we had fewer penaties so if not for their cheating we might not have lost by 40.

the point differnetial isnt the same sort of stat as first downs, number of penalties or attendance. I pointed it out to show that the difference between the 2 teams now is far greater than it was when ND ran their 11 in a row off. A few more years and USC will have hit 11 in a row.

Is that 11 in a row where they have kids going to court, or kids getting arrested, or someone raping someone else?
Hell you can't even win 1 in a row vs. Stanford.
