Ricky D being an old friend and my ace being the reason he has Big Brown, Im biased..... This year im calling it in one ! Big Brown will win the Triple Crown! If he dosnt oh well but I wont bet against him and people who think his post is bad think again and look at the posts the have actually won,, he isnt that bad off in this field. Ricky has talked a lot of smack and I hope Big Brown can back it up and if he does so at 1/8th he wins by 10 easy! If not the Derby GODS said it wasnt ment to be.

Also like Z Fourtune, Visonaire, and Gayego with Col John in my tri box

That looks so good. It has been years since I've gone to the derby. If any of you ever get the chance to go, you should at least once.

Shit. Why even bother running the horses? I've been to toga parties that were more civilized.

It's a crying shame that filly went down after the race was over.

Rack her for finishing 2nd against the boys.

I didn't see a replay of the race till last night. That philly's stride did look a bit odd at the end of the race, but, I'm not sure about it.

What do you experts think? Is there a chance in hell that the midget jockey could have done anything to prevent her trip to the glue factory?

Seems to me that a philly talented enough to beat damn near an entire field of colts ought to be pretty valuable in a few years for making new colts. So, why can't they figure out a way to just saw the broken stick off and glue on a fake one?

the reason she was running a little awkward, was because he is trying to get her to change leads, run correctly, she was running on her wrong lead. if you watch, they do that all the time if horse wont change leads coming out of the turn. Jockey did nothing wrong.

when you carry as much weight as horses and KCpaul do, while having smallish legs with poor circulation, things like this happen.

Only if he didn't mind having his mount finish last. There was no way to predict or prevent that horse breaking down. The jockey is blameless.
So, why can't they figure out a way to just saw the broken stick off and glue on a fake one?
While that may not be the stupidest question ever asked, it's pretty damn close.

I fail to see why some sort of prosthetic device couldn't be used. Yeah, she wouldn't win any more races, but that's not where her value lies.

I suppose it has something to do with the fact that thoroughbreds are brainless high strung racing machines. They can't get used to the idea of just chilling out and not running.

their circulation is so poor in their legs, that any breaks are life threatening. even small fractures can be fatal.

Think about that for a minute. Who wants to breed a mare that broke down?
