"Working Class" replaces "States' Rights"

Post by Q, West Coast Style »

As the new race-baiting political euphamism. IMHO.

When Hillary squaks about doing well in certain (Appalacian) states among "working class voters" she's coming at things from the same angle as politicans who used to pander to voters with a particular affinity for "States' Rights."

It does explain why the same pundits who claim Obama can't get "working class whites" to vote for him conveniently forget to mention the 95+% white states like Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Iowa, North Dakota, Nebraska etc. gave Obama substantial majorities. It's a very neat way of saying racists in Appalachia don't want to vote for the black guy.

Wrong. "Working class whites" do not equal "middle class". But having the networks say "poor white trash" just wouldn't be nice.

This is bullshit. Maybe they just don't like him because he's too tall. It probably has more to do with the fact he's a condescending prick who hasn't addressed his own racism and racist ties to their satisfaction. Just because you choose to dismiss his racially obsessed motivations doesn't mean everyone else has to.

This is a problem. More and more the Democratic party will attempt to marginalize those that don't vote for Obama as "racist". It's a disgusting tactic, but SOP for the Dems. "Spin and Deflect".

In West Virginia and Kentucky there are good, hard working folks that aren't racist but they do not approve of Obama for a myriad of valid reasons.

You mean like "he's a Muslim"? Or maybe because "we already got to many Husseins"? Or how about the over 30% of primary voters who were willing to tell a complete stranger that they allowed race to influence their voting decision?

And you have the nerve to say others are smoking crack?

No I don't mean "he's a muslim" or "we already got too many Hussiens" and since when is 30% a majority ? What were there reasons for not wanting a black president ? Mrs. Powell didn't want her husband to be a black president because she feared for his life. I think it's a valid concern. We had riots when Dr. King was killed and riots when Rodney King was beaten. God forbid anything should happen to Obama, but maybe people are scared about the consequences if something does. Ever think about that ? If you haven't, then you obviously aren't truly aware of "racism" in this country and the extent to which enemies - both foreign and domestic - will go to in order to attempt to destablize this country.

The broad brush that is being used lately to start painting anyone that doesn't vote for Obama as a "racist" is pathetic. It's a tactic used to garner votes, plain and simple.

Tom,

Your post is a classic example as to why one should not do bong hits while reading Tom Clancy novels.

The good citizens of Appalachia aren’t voting for Obama because they’re afraid that he’ll get assassinated and there will be riots? Is that what I’m hearing?

 You must speak from experience. I didn't read in that state, I watched Star Trek, Live at Pompei, Kids in The Hall and whatsuch back in the day when that was going on. Mostly I just played guitar.

Considering McVeighs alleged ties to white supremacy and fringe groups boners after 9-11, I don't think it's too far fetched to be concerned about some idiot trying something.

No what you're hearing is the fact that 30% say they wouldn't vote for him because he's black were not asked whether or not it's because they're racist or whether it's for some other reason.

Care to comment on all the 90% of n...iggers who won't vote for a white candidate?

They aren't racist? Just a coincidence?

Go fuck yourself, you pinheaded hypocrite.
Back of the pipe dipshit. Most elections have black voters voting 100% for the white candidate for President.

It's not whatever I say Goober it's a fact of life in America. Powell's wife Alma influenced Powell to not run and one of her stated reasons was fear that he would be shot. I don't find it unreasonable that people are discussing the same fear as we stand on the threshold of having our first African American President. You can bet the Secret Service is considering this. As to why 30% said they wouldn't vote for Obama because he's black, I'm willing to buy into the notion that 20-25% are due to individual prejudice - perhaps all 30%, but the fact is - I don't know and neither do you.

If you could guarantee that Obama would be shot if elected, I’m fairly certain that mvscal would be voting for him.

I heard on the radio, and I don't have any idea if it's true or not, that there was a poll taken recently among Democrat primary voters (again, I don't know where). It supposedly showed that something like 75% of Obama voters would vote for Hillary if she won the nomination, but only 15% of Hillary voters would vote for Obama if he won the nomination.

Could be BS, but it does sound like something from the West Virginia / Necktucky axis.

Of course, none of them might be offended by Obama's affiliations with racists and his patronizing comments about people clinging to bibles and guns.

Yeah, he didn't alienate anyone with those comments. If he did, they were racists. :hugefuckingrolleyes:
