Are the Gators that worried about Hawaii?

UF officials worked with SEC officials to get the season opening game against Hawaii a 12:30 ET kickoff. Granted the game is on TV (Raycom), but UF selected the 12:30 start time instead of the 6:30 ET start time.
Two huge advantages to UF by playing at 12:30 as it will be 6:30 am on the Hawaii players body clocks. And second it will be very hot. The problem is it will also be very hot for the UF fans and could cause issues with that many people under such heat.

Somehow I doubt they are too worried about Hawaii. UF has done this before with OOC games. I think Jones' crack on Tebow last season is motivation enough, regardless of what time that game is played.
Also, playing earlier in the day would lessen the chance of thunderstorms, which typically roll in during the evening in that part of the state.

No concern for your fans though?

Honestly, I'd rather us play day games as much as possible.

Im sure the Hawaii fans are pretty pissed at the things Zook was saying about the Warriors too

If changing the start-time got the game on tv when it wouldn't have been before then I'd say OK, if the game is on either way this is a bush move.

The University of Florida Athletic Department will roll out a number of heat initiatives for the Hawaii game, similar to last year's season-opening contest vs. Western Kentucky. These initiatives include, but are not limited to the following:
· Cool Misting Tents in the concourses of the north, south and west sides of the stadium
· Additional fans on east side concourse
· Plastic cups with ice for free at concessions stands
· 12-Ounce waters on sale at concessions stands for $1
· More than 100 Water fountains operational in stadium
· Cooling buses on the east and west side to supplement aid stations
· Officers at gates looking out for fans in heat distress and directing to aid stations
A comprehensive heat plan and additional initiatives for spectators at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will be announced at a later date.
Again if they are so worried about the fans, why not take the 6 pm TV slot?

When Florida makes the return trip to Hawaii hopefully the Warriors will schedule kick off for 9 pm local time. wait a second, CUM and his fucking pack of cunts arent going to make a return trip, that wouldnt be very SECish of them at all would it. they will stay at home and fill their OOC schedule with western kentucky and wofford, thats the southern way. No wonder those pussies lost the war, too chicken shit to take it on the road

Where is your anger at Hawaii? They are the ones that agreed to the contract? No one forced them to agree to play at UF only and not in HNL. If you are going to be upset at UF you have to be equally upset at Hawaii.

Good to see that Florida is the first ever major college team to only schedule a home game with a mid-major and not a home-and-home.
