Shouldn't the Mods here be a little up on College Football.... and the biggest event in Cal football in over 50 years???

It's only made National News for the last year and a half and concerns the most "State of the Art" athletic facility to be built for a College Football team and other Collegiate Sports at the University.... yet,

Our brilliant Mods couldn't wait a couple of hours for the court decision.....Fucking idiots

Well, here it is...

Judge says UC athletic center violates state law; protesters rejoice

Carolyn Jones, Chronicle Staff Writer

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

(06-18) 19:16 PDT BERKELEY
-- UC Berkeley's plan to build a state-of-the-art athletic training center next to Memorial Stadium violates a state law that prohibits new construction on earthquake faults, a judge ruled tonight.

The university had argued that the plan - which prompted a group of protesters to occupy a grove of trees outside the stadium for the past 18 months - does not violate the Alquist-Priolo Act because the facility would be a separate structure that does not touch any fault lines.

But Alameda County Superior Court Judge Barbara Miller ruled that the proposed training center is an alteration of the stadium, which straddles the Hayward Fault.

"We are ecstatic," said Stephan Volker, attorney for the California Oak Foundation, one of three groups that filed suit to stop the project in December 2006. "We believe this project is now dead."

Actually, I'm curious which MOD was so fucking stupid that they moved a Major College Football story from the forum???

Being that it's so busy in here with Civil War and other history topics relating to College Football, ya know..

My guess would be PUSFAN.

He's not too bright, ya know.

I simply could not care less about what is happening with Cal's stadium, and I'm glad to see that the Mods of this forum seem to feel the same.

The thread you had sent into the crapper deserved every bit of that journey.

If you want to talk about Cal's stadium here, fine; if you want to bleed voluminously through the fault that's between your legs, then piss off, board bitch.

FWIW the tree dwellers were covered here last season, where you around then? Anyfuck, those hippie freaks will be homeless soon I guess.

By the way,

CAL won.

http://www.berkeley.edu/news/media/rele ... elim.shtml

The San Francisco Comical has a long history of fucking up stories and this was just another case of their ineptitude.

Here's my email to Ms. Jones

You fucking cunt!

Read the Order.

That is all I’m sayin’.

Before you declare that the judges ruling declares the SAHPC “an alteration of the stadium, which straddles the Hayward Fault.” You should actually read it for yourself.

YOU HAVE IT EXACTLY BACKWARDS. The ruling says it is not an alteration of the stadium and it does not straddle the fault.

Besides that you nailed it.

...... hmmmm, what other recent example can we think of where the press grossly misreported something by relying entirely on one side's spin of the event? Hmmmmmmmmmm.........

The SAHPC is going to be Sweeeeeeetttt!

Here is the difference between football schools and Cal.

At a football school a Trustee like Frank Erwin would just jump in a front loader and drive over the trees with the freakin hippies in them. If that didn't work then he would finish the trees off with a chain saw himself still with the hippies in the tree tops. Why bother with court when you can act and then ask for forgiveness?

Cal on the other hand must not have any Trustees with balls.

Texas = Football School

Cal = irrelevant

In this forum, you have about as long a leash as Diego does at an elementary school, so bring some substance. Add into the equation that more than half your posts have nothing to do with Cal, and I shit canned it. Step you game up, Gwain.

Why can't they come to a compromise that would make the hippies happy? Maybe set-up a preserve somewhere.

If they don't get these upgrades done in some form you can say goodbye to Tedford.

This was forwarded by a Cal grad.

Part 1

"Running Wolf" and the freaks think they won after the Judge gives her ruling...

Part 2

Reality starts to kick in for the freaks when they can't figure out why they're being removed and arrested...

.....at around the 12:30 mark of the video, "Dumpster Muffin" starts to violently hump the 2x4.

I should have went over there and told her that's not the type of "stud" you hump.

I posted the following comment

but I doubt it will be approved.

"You would think a Cal Alum would have done some homework, or at least used his brain. First of all, your assessment of the ruling is 100% incorrect. Judge Miller ruled in favor of the University on all counts, excluding a few minor points which are no longer even in the plan for the project. The only thing preventing the chainsaws from finally going to work is the valuation of the stadium, which will be settled this week. The Oaks have absolutely nothing to do with it. The Judge ruled none of their arguments were substantive. This is just an example of people with lives devoid of meaning, trying to cause a ruckus.

How can you possibly blame this series of events on the University? These vagrants are holding up traffic, verbally and physically assaulting police, and first and foremost, TRESPASSING!

I love the comment "this is where your tax dollars are going." Uh no. A quarter of a million of your tax dollars were hijacked by the city of Berkeley for this frivolous (and now defeated) lawsuit.

Stop embarrassing your alma mater."

Off this shit troll.

Most people at Cal don't even care about what goes on there unless it has a direct effect on their bong or their planet.

Ok, so let me get this straight....they won't allow building on an earthquake fault. The entire fucking state is on an earthquake fault. So if it's dangerous for seismic activity then during a big earthquake wouldn't many of the trees fall? How would that work then. They'll fall anyway. Shit, just dig em up and move em.
