11-4 vs. the JUNIOR league after tonight's beatdown of the Rockies.
And guess who's coming back to town this weekend....you got it, the Tardinals.
ALLEGEDLY pooh-holes will be back in the Tards' lineup by Thursday, which is fine by me- I don't want ANY other excuses from TardinalFan after the Royals bitch-slap them right back to St. Loserville.

The AL as a whole own the NL in this year's interleague play. Toronto, Cleveland and Seattle are the teams with sub-.500 records against the NL...they also happen to be 3 of 4 worst teams in the AL.

Oh, dear.
"My league can beat up your league" talk is all well and good...
In December. Or even in November, after your team is done.
In late June... not so much.
Pretty KC-like, though.

June is the perfect time.

Baseball fans.
I would think winter would be the
perfect time to be a Royals fan.

Nope, I'll be too occupied with football at that time to give one sideways thought towards baseball.
In the meantime, it IS baseball season.
I should know this, but who's your team, errr... who do you bandwagon for, Dins?

Densehole, feel free to STFU....we Royals fans like what we're seeing out of this team right now. They're improving, and they're starting to do all the little things that it takes to win games. Rome wasn't built in a day, and the Royals are a work in progress as well- GM Dayton Moore has only been on the job 2 years now, yet he's done more to make this franchise competitive in that timespan than the previous GM did since his reign of ineptitude from 99-06.
Tardinals, COME GET SOME.

I'm the least bandwagoning motherfucker you'll ever not meet.
Same teams I've had since before I was old enough to whack it to Wilma Deering.
All over the map, since there's no football or baseball where I live...
Of course, the reason Portland doesn't have a professional baseball or football team?
Then Seattle would want them, as well.
I am Yankee Fan. Lots of them around here, actually.
And interestingly enough, had the team-discussion with an older (than me anyway) guy who grew up in the area, about the varied rooting interests of the over-40 crowd, since there was no Mariners or Seahawks when we were kids (thank goodness I didn't grow up to be one of those lame people)...
In football, growing up, it was Niners and Raiders... since they were the closest teams and were on in the early days of "regional coverage" every Sunday.
I hitched my wagon the the loser with the goofy unis... who then went on to become the greatest franchise in NFL history, once OJ hung it up and Mr Walsh took the helm.
Lots and lots of people who grew up here are Cowboys fans, as well... seeing a correlation between that and how much certain teams were on the Game of the Week in the 70's?
In hoops... no such picking-of-teams-as-a-kid was required. Pat Riley, Lenny Wilkens, Rick Adelman... those early days produced some fine coaches to be... but not so many W's. But great management and lots of early draft picks, including this enormous redheaded hippy... hardware, baby.
My rooting interests have never changed. Thick and thin... which works out OK with the Yankees and Blazers (for the most part). The Niner thing has been a little painful lately. I can deal with my teams losing... but lack of improvement is what makes it lame.

I find it very odd that old school MLB residents like rozy, prototype (a real royaaals faaan), and myself would never have to ask Dins which team he roots for. Known it since SCIII. Perhaps if the KC Bitches didn't disappear on May 1st every year when last place in the AL Central becomes a foregone conclusion, these asshats would have a clue whom someone roots for. You're all a bunch of Pink Hats who aren't worthy of this forum...
Who's the real fan and who's the April bandwarwagoner?

Besides all the pro-Yankee posts, all the "
#27" sigs and whatnot over the years might have given it away.
That, and my admiration for the Greatest Human to Ever Live... Mr. Derek Fucking Jeter (who's sure lost a step at SS).

The "real" fan is the guy who supports his team thru a generation of sucking, not some putz's who bandwagon the two teams with the highest payroll in MLB who've had recent success.
I'm not "worthy" of this forum? Royals fans aren't worthy of this forum? I can't even believe you went there. What a punk.
Go fuck yourself, cunt.

I like how the Royals fans were talking about how awesome their team was in the beginning of the thread, and then talking about the "generation of sucking" by the end.

4-2 is the only number that'll be remembered regarding the I-70 series. Don't forget that.
You may now return to playing inferior competition and see if you can't pad that glossy record some more.

Who are you referring to? My hatred for the Red Sux is well documented. I care take or leave the Yanks. I certainly never post about them, that's for sure....

Don't forget it? I've already moved on. Mets this week and Cubs over the weekend. Currently in the wild card spot 2.5 games back with opportunities to gain ground. It is an exciting time to be a playoff bound team. If you'd like, you can live vicariously through Cardinalfan.

interleague play is over until the world series.
royalsfan might as well shut it down until interleague play next year.

We're only 9 games out as of right now. I'm keeping the faith- it beats the hell out of cheering for anything Tardinal-related.
