Heading out to OSU v U$C
Can't wait for this game. I will be covering it for local Fox TV and our local paper. Two kids that I have done the play by play of for the past three years are now at OSU. I have photo and press box passes for the game and will post a PET upon return. All you OSU fans should be excited that I am going to the game as I have never seen U$C win a game in person. Saw them lose to Texas, Florida State, and Baylor of all teams. Anyone else going to this game?
Oh, yeah, by OSU I mean Oregon State. Oregon State hosts U$C on Thursday Sept 25th on ESPN. Any local knowledge would be great. Figure I might have to stay in PDX cause not much available.

Good call, Marcus Allen Frisco.
Yeah, I think you need some "local knowledge," alright.
OK, now that I'm done chuckling...
Uhm, no. You really won't have to drive 90 miles to find a place to stay. Although Portland would offer a great deal more excitement, Corvallis is a city of ~55,000. While not a booming megalopolis, they actually do have hotels there. And in Albany (enjoy the meth... then again, Corvallis does its share, as does the entire Mid-Valley, the world's Meth Capital)... and Eugene... and Salem... and a bunch of other cities. All of which are less than half the distance of Portland. Although if you're flying in and out of PDX, it makes your scenario reasonable, I guess.
As far as other stuff... it's Corvallis. If anyone offers to show you any of the local customs, and they're accompanied by any form of livestock... I suggest you politely decline.
Beautiful part of the world. Too bad they had to go and put Corvallis there.
Recently... I believe it was the beginning of the 2007 school year, they changed their initials to "OS." I guess it was to differentiate themselves from the real sports programs that go by "OSU." (Although it's harder to run that smack on the Sheepfuckers after the back-to-back baseball titles).Left Seater wrote:Oh, yeah, by OSU I mean Oregon State.

Well Lefty, I was going but buckeye just told me that he's getting fucked on tickets and I'd have to pay 300 bucks. Well I guess I'm not going. Drop me a line and let me know where you're staying.

Maybe I'm missing something here (ME? neverrrrr......), but $300?
I'm pretty sure I could buy tix to any Beavs game on Gameday, and sit front row on the 50 for well under $300 bones. Matter of fact, season tickets are available for less than $400.

But if you know of anyone who is willing to pay $300 for Beavs tix, PM me bro. We'll make a fortune.

Dins,
USC plays Ohio State this year. Lax was looking to go to that game with sc. He confused Lefty's post of OSU vs. USC for that game. The USC vs. ohio St. game tix could easily get to $300. Oregon St vs. SC? $40 max is what I'd pay.

Which OSU is he talking about? I'm guessing I'm too stupid to figure out that it actually it's actually the Beavs......Fuck no I wouldn't pay 300 bucks to see them.I would't pay that much to see many games.

You know... between two real football programs, and very good ones at that.
Without a doubt.

Then you're about $40 more generous than I.
But I think 40 bones gets you some really good tix at Reser. I haven't been in a while, not since they remodelled the building. Heck, must have been almost ten years ago, but back then I went with some folks, and we sat down front for like $25 or less. Must be a supply/demand thing.
Oregon games are a little different story.

Re: Heading out to OSU v U$C
Well, put it this way, I would pay the $40 to see any elite program play regardless of opponent. I go to a lot of IU games and could get in for $5-$10 against pretty much any team. My family has 30 season tix for IU so I never pay, but if I had to, it would be for next to nothing.
