Josh Hamilton = Wow! That was an awesome perfomance.

What a story of redemption. No surprise that most of you pud pullers aren't even aware of his descent into drug addiction, and the miraculous recovery.

I followed a bit of Hamilton's career (as a kid) as he went to high school about two miles from my former house in Raleigh (my sister-in-law taught at Athens Drive). That kid really was considered a once in a generation player... as close to a sure thing as theoretically possible. That was until he graduated from high school, got a ton of money and shot it all up his veins and snorted it up his nose. Really sad to watch yet another phenom waste away his life and potential. Props to the kid for turning it around and having a tremendous season.

Happens all the time, and it's not so much sad as it's inevitable. I don't feel sad for punks who waste their life. They chose to.

That's what makes the story of redemption that much more joyous to behold.

Josh Hamilton is a very lucky and blessed man, and from all indications and his humble demeanor, he's trying to share that.

There's not a rack big enough.

Hopefully, he stays clean and has a long and successful career.
