The problem is that many of the fans of his employer are also TheOSU fans.
Never a good idea to piss off your own fans. He might as well have replaced TheOSU with the Bengals.

I'm not surprised that a Cali kid from Orange County would find a strong CFB fan base to be strange.

It is a little punk ass for him to talk all big and bad on an L.A. radio show. I wonder if he would be that honest on a radio show in the 'Nati or C-bus. I do appreciate him saying what is on his mind though. Ohio State should be used to having people not like them...they're a polarizing program much like Michigan or Notre Dame. You're either a diehard loyal fan or you hate their guts.

What sort of CFB footprint is in Orange County? Very, very little.

Of course he wouldn't. He was on an LA radio station talking to fellow Toe-jam fans. Just another example of an oversensitive fanbase's inability to keep things in perspective without getting its panties in a bunch. What a bunch of whiny pussies.

Honestly, after attending the 2003 Orange Bowl and meeting USC and their lame ass fans, I am not surprised a Trojan would say this. They have no loyal fans. Their fans care more about getting their botox on TV than cheering on USC. It's the worst fan base in college football and that isn't even debateable.
Carson is simply surprised to actually see a state support their team loyally as opposed to just when they're good or because it's the cool thing to do in SoCal.
Can't really blame the guy for anything he said.
It's kinda like Frisco seeing a black dude on a plane and being shocked that a black person is actually an impressionable citizen. He's most likely never been around brotha's much and so he doesn't understand that not all of them are like the ones in the NBA!

Dumb, dumb move by Palmer. Now he's going to have to play every game like Joe Montana to avoid getting booed out of town. Unless that's what he wants...

Archie over Tress? I'd have Archie 4th or 5th spot behind Rex Kern and Earle Bruce.

South Orange County is SC's alumni fishbowl with more per capita spending on license plate frames, red and gold flags, and Matt Leinert jersies than Palos Verdes, Pasadena, and Santa Monica
combined.

Rack
But really, for me, it comes down to this. I grew up in Ohio, went to school in Ohio and never really knew how much non-Michigan fans hates OSU......till I moved out to Caly for 5 years.
Coming back, I will readily admit our fans are over-the-top, obnoxious, and are overly impacted by an OSU win/loss. Especially losses in the MNC game. Just because a football team lost a game does not mean life should grind to a crawl.
That being said, Carson is/was running his mouth. He has played his heart out for the Bengals and we can't complain too much about his effort. I think it would have been different if he had said things about just the team and not the fans. It was a little stupid to criticize the fans, especially since he wants those same crazy fans on Sundays.
Think we could trade him for Favre?

Sure you could and Green Bay would jump at that opportunity, though I'm not sure Aaron Rodgers would think very highly of that trade. The Bengals would have to be high on crack to make a trade like that.

Word!!! Miami can't even get 30 in the stands to many games a season. Not having to drive through little Havana in the future as they plan to move to Pro Player Stadium may have a dramatic effect on that though...

I remember driving down there to check out The OB when I was in Miami for the OB in 2002 and I don't blame 'Cane fans for not attending their games. Not only was the stadium a complete dump but I'm guessing you have maybe a 10% chance of coming back to the spot you parked at and having your car actually be in it after the game.
