The Halos are a fucking buzzsaw, and there isnt a thing any of the rest of the sorry ass teams in MLB can do about the impending assraping that will unfold in front of the nation as the WS trophy heads back to its rightful place: Socal.


This pillaging and assraping will also be continuing for many, many years as the Halos squad is young and deeply talented in the farm system with the perfect mix of asskicking vets. This forum should be fucking LOCKED for the next 3 years until a team can actually compete against the Angels.

Don't underrate a team possessing a pitcher who can come in the 9th inning with a lead and can secure the win. Considering the Cardinals have the most blown saves in baseball...imagine where they would be in the NL Central and NL Wild Card standings with just a few of those late inning leads preserved.

The same can be said for my sorry ass. The Tigers don't have a closer now and pretty much rely on a revolving door of gas cans. They have the third most blown saves in baseball and the most since the All-Star break. I think to myself, what if they could've held onto some of those 8th and 9th inning leads...they'd be in the hunt for the AL Central instead of 8 or 9 games back.

Saves may seem overrated but watch your team's bullpen a blow leads, you have know idea how much I'd want to have a Mariano Rivera, Francisco Rodriguez, Joe Nathan, Joakim Soria or Jonathan Papelbon to call on in the 9th inning. A reliable 9th inning guy is never overrated.

There are two problems with the Cardinals:
--a bullpen that once excelled is completely inthe toilet
--a managerthat adheres to the modern concept of the closer... that he actually established.

They clam up and get dusted in the playoffs every time they face the Red Sox. It's an easy sweep each time. Scoscia looks like a complete buffoon vs. Boston in the playoffs. They have some pretty good hitters, but overall the lineup is not as good as Boston's. I don't know how they do it- Boston just has these random fuckos who get on base and score runs, and the rotation always looks bleak but then come October somehow Beckett channels Sandy Koufax and throws like 3 one-hit, 12 strikeout performances per series and that's all they need. Fuck Boston.

Plus, Francisco Rodriguez stands on the mound and jacks off in his own mouth after every save, even a routine 3 run lead, 1 inning save, and he has blown seven this year and isn't as "lights out" as people make him out to be. But rubbing out a furious load into his own esophagus and then pointing to the sky and screaming after each save is going to come around and bite him in the ass. Karma is a bitch.

You're in for a HUGE letdown if you think they are going to just mow through the playoffs. I see them sweeping the Rays in round one, being overconfident and then losing in five if not getting swept by Boston in the ALCS.

It's already over. Home field won't make any difference. I don't see this thing coming back to Donald Duck Orange Field or whatever that park is called, for a game 6. This probably won't be a sweep, but five games sounds reasonable.
