Steve Earle

I caught his latest PGH show two weeks ago at The Byham Theater.
Steve's really on a roll. Washington Square Serenade was excellent, and he performed it faithfully. The show was really long. He played his old faves, then basically played all of his last two releases.
Steve's lost a lot of weight, and obviously he's been clean for about 10 years. He's been writing and touring incessantly - he's really a powerful performer at this point.
His wife, Allison Moorer, has a great voice and is smoking hot - maybe not as hot as her sister Shelby Lynne, but damn close. Allison opened - her own songs are nothing to shriek about, but some of her cover tunes and her appearances on stage with Steve are really something.
Particularly interesting was Steve's DJ. I am pretty skeptical of that medium, but Steve works it in perfectly.
I was pretty much blown away by this one, and would recommend catching him next time you can.
