As for our future President. I'm not listening to anyone, I've always maintained he's the beneficiary of several double standards. While it's been awhile, I'm simply referring to Obama's ties to an ultra right wing group run by a former Calypso singer, his ties to a weatherman, and of course his endorsement he received from Hamas.

They attested to his conduct under fire, his leadership during combat, and they played down notions of Kerry's medals being diluted that probably stemmed from other Veterans who slugged it out in the bush for 13 months and not other switfboat vets. Kerry's shipmates, to my knowledge, did not attest to the same over-exaggerated claims of abuse, atrocities, and general misconduct of American GI's in Vietnam.

The vast majority, if not all, swiftboaters were complaining that Kerry's claims of such things were over-exaggerated, if not completely fabricated and not a matter of Kerry witnessing them first hand.
