let me if one of you fine folks have heard their latest. I loved bows and arrows but the subsequent album wasn't the hot hot like I had hoped.

no thanks. I started getting pussy on a regular basis and all that metal shit seemed goofy after that. every once in a while I'll revisit it for nostalgia sake, but metal is more of a "homely" man's game.

Caught the Walkmen at 9:30 last night. I had only heard one song of theirs before deciding to go to the show, I heard they were pretty good and I've wasted $15 on worse shit before, so I decided to make it happen. I was very impressed. I like the new songs and some of the old shit is really killer. Dude sounds exactly like Dylan and holy shit does he have some pipes. Very classy band. A pro's band, if you could put it that way.

Once I get an internet connection and a computer, I'll be downloading some of their shit for sure. Unfortunately, there are little to no "record stores" in the District, unless Smacking or Degenerate want to fill me in.

I think you can take the Red Line up to Glenmont ( definitely call first or check it out here:http://www.wmata.com/maps/metrorail_street_map.cfm )

When I first was going there, Brendan Canty (drummer for Rites of Spring and Fugazi) worked the cash box.
