Just a side note here.
B-HO has been linked to this book:
Whatever. That is a really good classic book. It is kind of teh suck that such a work is being maligned and then used to gainsay B-HO.

Well, I didn't ask for a perfect example of the genetic fallacy, but thanks for providing one. Yet you don't use the same rubric in your assessment of say,

Oh, and that he has no interest in starting a war with Iran.
And then there's that thing about actually wanting to cooperate with Europe, instead of thumbing his nose at them and giving them a "my way or the highway" ultimatum.

So does Bush, you stupid fuck. Their plans for a phased withdrawl as conditions permit are indentical
Bush didn't even start talking about a withdrawal until he realized that his time was almost up, and that public opinion polls were against him on this issue. Sorry, no sale here on the Bush Administration's sincerity about withdrawing from Iraq. Their ideal scenario is closer to McCain's 100-year timeline.
When it comes to withdrawing from Iraq, Bush has about as much credibility as he does when it comes to balancing the budget.

Easy to carp about a decision he never had to make.
Maybe he wasn't in the U.S. Senate back then, but there's no question that he spoke out against the Iraq War
at the time.

Neither does the Bush Administration, you brainless fucktard.
Link?
And then there's that thing about actually wanting to cooperate with Europe,
When have we ever stopped cooperating with Europe?
When we went to war with Iraq.

Are you fucking retarded? British, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Danish, Czech, Slovakian, Romanian, Norwegian, Portugese, Albanian and The Baltic states have all sent troops to support the mission in Iraq
British don't consider themselves European. Tell me you knew.
As for the others, how many did they send? A few hundred troops, all told? And how long did they stay there?
How many did France and Germany (the true power brokers in Europe, along with the British if you consider them Europeans) send?

mvscal wrote:What does that have to do with your idiotic and demonstrably false claim that we have stopped cooperating with Europe?
The fact that you don't see that proves how totally clueless you are.
So I'll dumb it down for you. When France and Germany wanted to discuss options other than a full-scale war on Iraq, the Bush Administration essentially gave them the one-finger salute. Maybe that doesn't mean a lack of cooperation in your world, but for those of us who are a bit more civilized, it does.

Germany: We need to save our resources to pummel France again.
France: We need to conserve our military resources to rebuild the Maginot Line.
P.S.: We surrender, in advance.

If the Bush Administration has gone out of its way to cooperate with Europe, why is Bush so universally despised over there? Moreso than any other post-WWII U.S. President, I daresay.

Chirac was so universally despised over here? You're kidding, right? Considering the number of Americans who can't find the U.S. on a world map, you're giving Americans far too much credit by saying that Chirac was universally despised here.
Hatred is not the same thing as apathy or ignorance. Most people here have/had no clue who Chirac was, and you know it. That's not the case with Bush in Europe.

Terry,
You should know as well as anybody that "universally despised" in mv's world means "hated by neocon facists".

Something tells me that the overwhelming majority of Europeans would disagree with this.

It's called perceptions. Perceptions often take on the appearance, if not the identity, of reality.
And Europe is not the U.S. By and large, Europeans tend to be far more actively engaged in the political process than Americans do.

I have been to Europe, yes.
And while I don't know many Europeans, I do read enough to know what public opinion of Bush is over there. Sorry that it disagrees with yours. But that shouldn't surprise you. Even in the U.S., most people don't suck his dick with as much enthusiasm as you do.

True.
And my perception of you has for several years been that of a hand-wringing, clueless, emasculated halfwit. In other words, a typical liberal douchebag. Your contributions in this thread have only reinforced that perception.

Yeah, sure... and you know this how? Got any facts and figures to back up that fantastically ignorant statement? Or is that just the "perception" you get from having your head so firmly jammed up your shit chute?
