We're 10 days away now and I'm starting to feel it. I challenge you to a one week sig bet. Unfortunately, yeah, it's gonna have to be a measley sig bet. I'd say you could wager one of your chimes, but I really don't know any meth dealers I could sell the scrap metal to.
You in?

Besides the Stepchildren representing my conference, I don't have a dog in this fight (although I'll always homer for the PAC, but I don't shed a tear when OS or UDub loses OOC)...
Just seeing the first callout has me pumped...
I can freaking taste CFB.
Awww, fuck...
RACK every motherfucker here, and I wish your teams the best of luck... for about another week or so. Then, to hell with ya.
BTW -- if you're reading this, Felix, prepare to have all sorts of nasty things said about your mother and other lineage in about 4 weeks... where your "perfect" record in PAC10 buildings will remain intact.

First off, 'Go Spartans!' in that game...if USC beats the Buckeyes, at least have one Big Ten team be victorious in the state of California. It'll be a very good early test for Dantonio's squad...see what progress they make from year one to year two.
Can't believe that the fun starts next weekend...that first Saturday is approaching fast. It should be another wide open topsy-turvy season. Watching classic games on the Big Ten Network has gotten me really excited about the start of the season. Flipping on ESPN on Saturday morning watching Gameday leading up to the noon kickoffs and watching games all day long...war gluttony.
It's also just a matter of time before we all engage in the same debates as we always do each year. I realize how silly it is to bring up the BCS is evil debate every year...it's better to just see how the entire season shakes out before blasting holes into it over what could happen and not will happen.

Yep. Great opening matchup between these two teams. I'm sure Michigan St. will pull out a miracle victory against the Golden Bears and then proceed to blowout their next two opponents, raise all hopes of a great season on the horizon among all East Lansing fans and then get those hopes and dreams crushed by the Golden Domers on September 20th.
Sound about right?
I've got the biggest hard on for football right now. I just want to hump a mascot until my dick falls off.

No. The collapse doesn't usually happen until after they beat Notre Dame.

Sadly, MSU usually has their annual meltdown after they play us. '06 was the exception to the rule.

Put one of those fake heads on Mt. Rumplewife and that should do the trick.
Sorry, but someone had to say it.

I hear the Cougar is a pretty easy mark for sexual conquest, after you give it a few good shots to the dome... or so I hear.
Must be about a week out...since yes... I actually did just play the "my mascot can beat up your mascot" card.

Not to twist the knife but the usual time for their decline is after they lose to Michigan. They either blow a lead or get ran off the field and then the wheels fall off their season and it's a struggle to become bowl eligible. I don't see them wilting this year...they're a 6-8 win team...probably more on the 6-7 win side and an 8 win season would mean no heartbreaking losses along the way. They usually lose a couple games each year in wild high scoring games or they flat out blow a large lead.

I knew this was coming.
The Coogs mascot was a storng, fierce cheerleader for years and years. He would do a pushup for every point the Coogs would score, but then one day David Klingler hung 84 points on Eastern Washington and our Cougar mascot blew out both of his biceps attempting 84 pushups after he had just completed 77 pushups on the previous drive. He's never been the same since. It was kind of a microcosm of the program after the Klingler era.
So, yes, your Duck got bode on our beaten and battered Cougar mascot. Props on beating up a handicapped mascot.

From Tedford per espn.com:
"We feel like both of them have had great camps, but Kevin's going to take the first snaps," Tedford said after practice in a statement. "We'll see how it goes from there. Nate will play in the game; I don't know exactly when, but Kevin will start."
Dual qb threat? Schweeeet! This won't exactly be Leak and Tebow.
over/under on how quickly Longshore enters the game? I say less than a quarter.

Easy there, hillbilly. Someone has to hold for the extra points after the TD's.
Nate will get plenty of mop up duty.

It's possible.... but, I don't see Cal being up that much that early. It is the first game of the year.

Well then, I'm In.
I have a great deal of respect for Michigan State playing their "toughest game of the year"... to start the season.
It should make them "battle" ready for the conference schedule... while the rest of the Big 10 is playing "Coastal Carolina" and the "Youngstown State's" in their OOC games.
I think Michigan State has a good chance at being #2 or 3 in the Big Ten.

Considering your teams showing against USC in the recent past I wouldn't be throwing stones from that glass house...

They kicked your team's ass a lot more recently than they beat us. Follow your own advice.

So Magoo, I heard that you guys say you're going to be bringing around 15,000 to the game tomorrow ?
I had breakfast in this morning on Telegraph Ave. and didn't see a single MSU fan.... What the fuck ?
Last year... Tennessee fan said they were going to bring around 15,000 (ended up around 7 to 8,000) and the place was crawling with Orange.
I haven't been to "The City" today, since I took the Richmond Bridge over to Marin after spending the night in Menlo Park on the peninsula, so I'm not sure what it looks like. Last year, the financial district was teaming with Orange.
Where the hell are the "green" people hiding ???
By the way.... how many points do I need to spot ya on this sig bet ?

Dantonio said he heard around 10,000. I would guess 10K at the max. California actually has a pretty sizeable MSU alum base so I wouldn't be surprised.
and didn't see a single MSU fan.... What the fuck ?
Guess it depends who you ask. Some of your brethren have invaded the Spartan message board and are claiming to have run into quite a few MSU fans.
By the way.... how many points do I need to spot ya on this sig bet ?

Ok, Magoo....
I saw your boys practicing in Strawberry Canyon yesterday, so this thing is really going to happen.
It was pretty hot here yesterday, but it should be in the 70's to start the game with an "ocean" breeze.
I'm taking off work here in about 2 hours and headed over to Berkeley via Bart and under the Bay.
I did run into a Michigan State women yesterday who was at the Marina and headed to the game. I asked what she thought about the "tree freaks" and she had no idea what I was talking about.
